This used to be our favorite Mexican restaurant. We jumped ship on the LaFiesta restaurant in Lake City when it went downhill. But over the last year or so portions have gotten so small and prices have gone up. $45 for 2 people and my husband leaves hungry half the time. Seated promptly. Nice casual atmosphere. Unfortunately the food was only OK. Three of us had the Caldo de pollo which we were warned would be about a 25 min wait. I guess we are used to a different kind of soup up north. This soup here lacked flavor, mainly water, a scoop of tomato sauce, carrot, yellow squash and zucchini slices and a few pieces of chicken breast. Not even the flavor of chicken stock. No cilantro. No onion. Just rather blah but the size was generous. We also had the "street" taco plate. Here they used flour tortillas inexplicably. Maybe they had a salsa bar somewhere that we didn't know about but it lacked a good salsa with it. Overall, would just not recommend. Maybe we just didn't have what the restaurant is good at but I would not recommend the chicken soup or the street tacos. FYI, we did order a chicken sandwich for my 6 yo. Hers was the only decent meal in our party of 4!

Last time I ate here the atmosphere was amazing, the restaurant was kept clean, and the food portions was epic!! The service was friendly. Great place to eat at.

Very good! Got the steak and chicken Fajitas for 2, good portions. Came w beans & rice. Salsa & queso were good too. Their flan was also super fire. Quick service and good prices.

I've been coming to Habanero for 4 years now, & have never been disappointed. The carnitas are always my go to dish. Perfectly crispy chunks of pork with all the trimmings. Hugh portions & super friendly staff. Also can't go wrong with the "texas" sized Marquerita!!

I ate here a few months ago and received terrible service. The server was hostile and I was mystified as I had eaten there over the years with no issues. The order was incorrect and I sent it back. As I finally ate my burrito, I noticed teeny stubby pieces of hair in my food half in. I didn't eat anymore. When the server returned to give me the bill he asked me how my food was with a smirk. I refused to pay for the food and did pay for the drink. There was no apology when I spoke to mgmt. Will never eat there again. Horrible service, horrible food, horrible management.
