Always greeted by the awesome team upon entry and Adam, the GM, always comes to welcome us back! We've always had phenomenal service and last night was no different. Stephen was an absolute rockstar, I had him pick my cocktail based on flavor profiles and he and the bartender absolutely nailed it! We love doing multiple small plates, mixing in an entrée periodically, and it's always an incredible experience! Incredible dining experience!! Start with the ambiance, warm and inviting. You get the intimacy without being crowded. The noise level was perfect and gave us permission to laugh out loud and be in the moment. Service was outstanding!! Brian was our server and knew the menu and food inside and out. He could describe a dish in such detail that you knew it was the right choice while also making plans to come back and try the other ones you did not choose. He was so genuine and right there when you needed something without hovering or intruding.
AND THE FOOD... the flavor profile of every dish was amazing and so savory. There were four of us and between all of us, ordered pasta, roasted chicken, and pork chop entrees. We really enjoyed each and every bite. Although we did not have room for dessert, it was the most enjoyable food coma I had experienced in quite some time!! My parents were visiting us from Nashville and could not stop raving about this place. Give it a try and ask for Brian.

I love everything about this place. Stephen was our server was did a phenomenal job. We couldn’t have asked for better service or a kinder person at that. I came here for my anniversary and it was more than I could’ve asked for. Stephen walked us through the menu and genuinely cared about what we were being served and had pride in the food his chef made. I kindly thank him for his service. In addition, everyone else who was apart of our service tonight was kind and extremely attentive as well. The chef here is amazing as well the food couldn’t not have been better everything was so perfect in my opinion. I’ve been to many restaurants and this is only the second review I’ve ever left. That is because this place deserved it!
We had the hush puppies (best I’ve ever had), oysters, pasta, ribeye, pure potatoes, cornbread (amazing), and to top it off the spice cake dessert.

My husband and I dined at J.C. Holdway tonight for the first time. We felt welcome from the moment we walked in. David was our server and he was terrific! I had the trout, David offered to debone the fish, and did so flawlessly. My husband had the ribeye and he loved his steak. The atmosphere was giving cozy Scandinavian cabin vibes!
