This is simply the best restaurant in Knoxville. Not only is the food absolutely delicious, the servings are large and the food is hot or cold, depending on what it is. The wonderful slaw is always chilled. In addition, the servers are friendly and efficient, although possibly overworked.

We were in Knoxville for the day and decided to try out Jackie’s. Looking at the reviews and food pictures it looked like my type of place! I’m always nervous trying out new restaurants because you don’t know if it’s going to be good or not. Let me tell you!!! If you love soul food you will love this place. The sweet tea was perfection. My fried catfish was absolutely delicious with a side of collard greens and potato salad. The cornbread is just how I like it, sweet and buttery! We also got a fried green tomato appetizer, that one is a must have. I can’t wait to go back and try out some more things!

We found Jackie's through maps navigation. We are visiting from out of state and landed at Knoxville airport and we were hungry. Jackie's is about 20 minutes from the airport. We pulled in and the parking lot and it was full, good sign! We ordered fried green tomatoes for an appetizer while we studied the menu? we ended up ordering, fried shrimp, famous fried chicken, tilapia, mac n cheese, potato salad. Everything was so delicious!!! The corn breading on the fried green tomatoes and tilapia was fantastic. It was so good that we had to order dessert. The chocolate cake was the best we ever had, so moist! Excellent service from Shay also!

I was looking all the other pictures and looks like I had the worst mac and cheese that's been posted. It was hard and dry. Cornbread was extremely small, burnt and tasteless. Cabbage was ok. The Nashville hot chicken was great. It was the only thing I could eat
