Jig and Reel is a Knoxville staple. I’ve been coming here since college. The whiskey menu is extensive so if that’s your thing, this is the place. The food is shockingly good. I have always loved their fish and chips - super crispy, great fries, and homemade tartar sauce. My husband loves their scotch egg. We reserved their side room for an event recently and were so impressed. There was no fee for renting as we had about 30 people there that would be eating and ordering drinks. We were able to decorate the room to our liking (but of course took everything down afterwards). We ordered a charcuterie board and it was absolutely beautiful and delicious. Our server (can’t remember his name but he kinda looks like the DJ ‘Eliminate’) was fantastic. He was fast with orders, very observant of the room, and offered help wherever we needed. I was also happy to see that we were still treated well with it being a queer event - there was no hostility. We’ll happily have more events in the future here.

Great place we found for lunch while visiting Knoxville for the weekend and incredibly glad we did. They have great food and a large selection of table bar games and darts in the back room. Great place to hangout for an afternoon and enjoy a bite and beer.

The perfect spot for a great pint and some of the best fish and chips around. This lively bar pairs its warm, rustic charm with perfectly flaky fish encased in crispy batter and chips that are hot and golden. The tangy tartar sauce adds just the right touch. The service is friendly and attentive. Whether you’re there for the drinks, the food, or the laid-back vibe, Jig and Reel hits the mark.

Always love going to BJR, the atmosphere is always smooth and laid back. Usually have some folk music being performed and the food is out of this world. Traditional Scottish Meat pies that are amazing 👍

Kid-friendliness: Not really a place with a variety of food for children but not a place where I wouldn't bring children.
