Upscale Mediterranean…everything was very well done.
Came here last minute on a work trip and was not disappointed! I wanted to try a little of everything so the server helped me select a few items. We settled on the lemon chicken soup, cauliflower, shrimp, and a blueberry mule mocktail. Cauliflower was my favorite!
I’ve been to Kefi many times and generally the food and service are great. However, our group of 3 didn’t even order our entrees and decided to go down the street to Stir to finish our evening.
We were sat immediately because it wasn’t a busy evening there. Even then, it took a long time for someone to greet us. When our server finally got to our table, we ordered the garides and saganaki small plates and one beer to start. After the server dropped off the small plates, he never came back to get the rest of our order. We were done with our small plates for quite some time. As I watched him be attentive to his other tables , we were confused as to why we were forgotten when the service is usually fine to great at Kefi. So after waiting it out for 20ish minutes to see if he would ever come back to get our order, we decided to not even order our entrees and asked for our check.
For two small plates and one beer, we spent over 30 minutes and $41. I’m hoping this was just an off night for the server and it was just our misfortune to be on the receiving end of it. But I won’t be back for a while as there are too many good dining options now in Knoxville.
Let me tell you this: if you have not been to Kefi and had the Buttered Lobster Pasta dish; you are missing out! This entree definitely makes my top five dishes EVER and rivals the pasta dishes I had in Florence. The Village Salad I had was fresh and amazing and the service from Hannah was TOP NOTCH. This was only my second time here as I travel in for work. I will be back because I KNOW I will soon be craving this pasta dish!
Always a 5 star experience! We go here as often as we can! Awesome experience every time!
I don't know where all the good reviews are coming from: My experience was mediocre at best. Baba Ganoush that tasted only like chickpeas, no eggplants. Hummus that tasted like nothing. Octopus that was mellow and tasteless. Cardboard falafel. A lot of show with open fire at the table, but not the food you'd expect. Waiters had no attention to detail: We were a group that had ordered plenty of different appetizers and the table was full of empty plates and serving dishes. Waiters bringing out main courses without cleaning up the table: There simply was no room. Asking the waiters to clean up the table only made them go away. Later, another waiter came to ask us to clean up our table ourselves and hand her the empty plates scattered between the main dishes, diner-style. Needless to say that we then ran out of silverware... Main dishes were ok, but without any refinement. Yes, we got what was described on the menu, but nothing memorable. For what we got, it was simply too expensive.
I would not go back to this place.
There is nothing authentic abt this place we order a 2 chicken Willingtons. Waitress only bring out one order. I ordered another one since i didn't get my plate. 20 min go by and my food is still not done.. I decide to cancel it.. my mother said The chicken was tough and there was no prosciutto. The chicken was absolutely plain with no seasoning. We also order a bowl of avgolemeno soup. It taste like washed down sink chicken soup. I was looking for authentic lemon broth soup something different. HORRIBLE! Nothing authentic or special abt this place. Definitely not worth the price. Good for ppl with no taste buds.
Fantastic Greek tapas, everything was delicious and the dessert portions were huge!
This was our first time visiting Kefi, and we had such a wonderful experience. Our server, Hannah did a great job with recommendations and taking care of us. We started with the cocktail flight, falafel, and spanakopita, which were all amazing. For entrees, we got the lobster pasta and braised short rib fettuccine, and they were SO GOOD. Ended the night with espresso martinis which Hannah had made special with extra chocolate. Such a great date night spot with wonderful ambience and service.
Hannah was excellent

I brought some business colleagues here this weekend and we had a great experience. The atmosphere, the food and the service from Lauren were all Five stars. Things flowed smoothly and the team was very promo at every stage of the meal. Very good experience.
I visited Kefi last night and had a wonderful experience overall. The food was absolutely fantastic – every dish we tried was full of flavor and expertly prepared. Our waitress was also amazing, providing attentive and friendly service throughout our meal.
We had tried calling ahead a couple of times to let them know we were running a bit late, and no one would answer the phone which was a bit frustrating. However, this didn't take away from the overall experience.
The drinks were also a fun addition to the evening – creative and well-made. While the prices were a bit on the higher side, I would definitely return because of the high-quality food and great ambiance. Highly recommend!
Seriously impressed! The menu is creative, expansive (something for everyone!!), and the food is phenomenal. Cocktails and desserts were 10/10 too. The atmosphere is so chic and perfect for dates or business meals. Will definitely be back!
It's all Greek to me
New favorite restaurant in Knoxville. Great food. I especially recommend the saganaki and lamb chops.
