This use to be the best place for a group of friends to get out and have fun in downtown knoxville. After the absolutely horrible service we received the last time we were in we'll never be back. Rude and inattentive waitstaff / clerks. Not worth the time, money or to dodge the homeless as you walk in from the parking garages. Its a shame this place has hit rock bottom with their staffing. I understand its hard to find people to work and even harder to find good people to work but this is an issue the owner should truly look into.
Fantastic job by Milli! We so appreciate her help and speedy service; food & especially drinks keep coming as soon as you order. Making sure you’re taken care of (especially when you have two rowdy boys). Parents get the TLC from Milli! Thanks again, keep up the GREAT work!
We(our family of 43 in Knoxville for a reunion) had the BEST time at Maple Hall! We rented out the Heart of the Hall(5 lanes) for our 2 hour event and everyone from 2 to 68 had a fantastic time. The staff did a great job accommodating us and all of our crew, from bowling ball ramps and bumpers to taking family pictures. Highly recommend!
The University Photographers Association of America (UPAA) held our yearly symposium in Knoxville this summer. Maple Hall was a major highlight for our attendees! From the atmosphere to the bowling everyone had a great time! Our event moves to a different university every year. I heard many times while inside Maple Hall, “Next year’s host is going to have a hard time topping this.”
Thanks again to Maple Hall for making our symposium a memorable experience!
How can establishment be run by such incompetent people? We called ahead to make sure we were able to bowl as it was just over an hour till close and we were told it would be no problem. When we arrived, we were greeted by an employee on a personal phone call and redirected downstairs. Downstairs the other employee was quick to let us know the most time we could bowl for was 10 minutes. We explained how we had called and she was rude and unhelpful. When we confronted the employee upstairs she tried to blame the other employee. Safe to say we will not be back.
Called ahead before driving downtown. No human answered and message said nothing about the bowling alley being unavailable because it was rented out for the evening. Drove 30min for naught. If you call ahead, make sure you talk to a person.
Can't reserve, and it's a very small space, just get a great cocktail, snack, and go to a bowling alley that has lanes available, there are a ton of places. Places with themes, lights and beverages.
We came for a friend’s birthday party. The food is just okay. The lanes are blocked off two at a time which is kind of nice so it gives you more of a secluded feel rather than sharing a party with the whole bowling alley.
It’s neat that is downtown, if the food was better might want to visit more often. As it is, it’s just okay. There are closer bowling alleys to our house with better food.
The pretzels and cheese are good, but they don’t give you enough cheese so we had to order another side of cheese ($3 I believe) and by the time we got it, our pretzels were cold. They should just give you less pretzels or give you two small cups of cheese or a bigger bowl of it.
The nachos were not great (I included a picture, the little bit of cheese you can see in the picture is literally all the cheese on them). The chips were hard (not crispy/crunchy hard, but stale hard). The stuff on top was not evenly dispersed and there wasn’t much cheese on them either (not sure what’s up with the lack of cheese here, but if you have to, just charge an extra $2-3 and give people more cheese).
My husband liked the sandwich he got, and the kids liked the pretzels and cheese until the cheese ran out. The dessert pretzels were pretty good too. This place has potential. Maybe if they step up their food game it’ll be 5 stars one day.
I planned a surprise birthday party for my husband at Maple Hall. We used the 2-lane private suite for an authentic experience. The service was great (thank you, Ethan) and the atmosphere was just what we wanted to host our family and friends! It was a very smooth and easy transaction from start to finish which I majorly appreciated since I’m 9 months pregnant. Book with Maple Hall!
The staff was very responsive and helpful! The food was great, the bowling was super fun for our group. Every one at the rehearsal dinner had a great time!

What a cool place! I love going here!
Dropped in on a Sunday evening. Very nice service, Wes was an excellent host, Beer, Bowling and food. Great time, would definitely recommend!
Fantastic time, and the food was amazing!
Won’t tell you they are closed because of private parties until you drive all the way out there. No sign outside nothing on social media, just closed for 3 hours but do you want us to put your name down for three hours from now maybe??
We had our small wedding reception at the Maple Hall Room and it was wonderful. Caroline took care of everything from food catering, checking allergies, to champagne toast, and having everything come out with excellent timing and it ran so smoothly. The food was amazing & they even took care of getting the desserts from Ham & Goody's, so I didn't have to worry about a thing. We were able to play our own music & have a photo booth. The bartender and servers were so attentive and really lovely people. The drinks were also really good. I got so many compliments on the venue, food, desserts, drinks and service from my guests.
They also accommodated us early and started getting us drinks right away, which was so nice, since it was about to start raining and we had just walked from the courthouse getting photos and were overheated.
I am so grateful for everyone who worked on our event! It was perfect and I was able to just enjoy it and not worry about a thing. Thank you so much!
