My mom and I finally got to visit the restaurant today and loved everything! The crab cake and the tiger shrimp appetizer was our favorite! Highly recommend the crab cake. We had the ribeye and it was also really good. And the chocolate cake is amazing. I recommend this place and can’t wait to come back! Andrew was our server and we really like him and how attentive he was. Thank you for a wonderful experience for our first time! 😊
Great place for a celebration!
Nice ambiance and tasty food; great spot for a date!
The food was great and so was the service
Went in for brunch. We lucked out and were able to grab some seats at the bar since we were informed it was by reservations for that day. The selection at the bar is impressive.
If you are fan of cinnamon rolls, highly recommend. Also tried their crab eggs Benedict and it did not disappoint.
I’ve been on the fence about trying Oliver Royale for a while because of all the mixed reviews, but my husband and I finally decided to give it a try since the menu looked promising.
The waitress was friendly, and the outdoor patio was a nice touch, but unfortunately, the rest didn’t live up to expectations.
The coffee was warm, but not hot enough to be satisfying. The biscuit with gravy—the biscuit was fine, but the gravy? Not even close. If you’re in the South, you know white gravy needs the love of seasoning.... pepper, salt, bacon grease, and definitely spicy sausage. Gravy shouldn't be served thick and gooey from too much flour or at room temp. It ruined the biscuit.
I figured the smash burger would be a safe bet, but it had no flavor. I didn’t even taste salt. The bun was way too big for the burger and honestly felt like it was taking over. The homemade pickles were the only fun part of the meal. The side salad could’ve been good, but the dressing had no distinctive flavors. The sourdough toast was honestly the worst I’ve had anywhere. Also, strangely enough, they didn't have sweet tea.
The bacon, though—at least that was good. But honestly, it’s hard to go wrong with bacon.
Unfortunately, our long awaited attempt was a flop, so we won’t be braving this spot a second time.
Stock and Barrel, Tomato Head, Cafe 4, Southern Grit, and Potchke are absolutely better options nearby.

Delightful experience, food was amazing, service, drinks all of it. Will be back every single time I'm in knoxville.
Fantastic food, drinks, and service. It is a super fancy but the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food. Will eat here every time we come to town!
This was our second visit to The Oliver Royale, hoping for a better experience after a disappointing first. Unfortunately, it fell short again. The first time, my fettuccine was substituted with spaghetti without any notice. This time, I ordered the shrimp and scallop risotto but was told—at just 6:00 PM—they were out of scallops. I opted for the filet, which arrived overcooked, dry, and flavorless. The server offered a replacement, and I chose the salmon, but it took so long to arrive that my dining companion had already finished their meal. To make matters worse, we weren’t given any updates during the wait. Disappointing service and execution both times.
Fantastic food, service, and atmosphere!

Reservation recommended. We showed up for lunch and ouch, an hour wait but the bar was wide open so we had brunch. Smoked salmon Benedict and Breakfast bowl. Delicious 😋. Katie, the bartender was attentive and friendly. Would come back for dinner sometime.
Great food, fantastic service and a cool vibe. Definitely a winner.
Potstickers were great, pasta was great and cheesecake was great. Red fish was just ok. I'd try it again
We have done several spirit tasting events, and last night was the best yet. We tasted cocktails with Tequila and learned so much. Simon and his staff were amazing! We highly recommend the Oliver Royale Restaurant and hotel, they always exceed expectations!!!
Absolutely the best ribeye that I have a ever had. It was bison (so I expected something a bit leaner) but it super tender, flavorful and the ancho-coffee rub was fantastic. Great evening with great food.
