I am editing my review as it was a negative one with a negative exp my first time, my issue was mainly the service my original waiter forgot to add in some of the stuff we ordered and it took a whole hour and a half to get 5 things and just some other things that really upset me but this time our waiter (who’s name I forgot but it was the dude with the awesome mustache) was AMAZING both times I did a big order to put into consideration that everything is made to order so things will take time ofc especially when making dumplings this guys repeated our whole order back to make sure he got everything he checked up on use every couple of minutes made sure if we were good needed more drinks wanted to order more and not just on us but a lot of the tables inside and outside as well. Our food was flying out the shelves I was so happy to get my orders together me and my husband were finallly able to enjoy our own skewers together without sharing 1 lol I also want to thank Erica for reaching out and taking my feedback on my first experience and actually listening. me and my husband really did enjoy our experience this time thanks to her our waiter, and a couple of the other waiters that helped bring our dish out as well I can’t thank them enough we will definitely be returning!! This place is one of the few business that I feel is truly ran properly and by good people!!

We had seats on the patio last night and chose the All You Can Eat option. Totally worth the price in my opinion. We got to try just about everything on the menu, and our favorites were the beef curry dumplings, beef skewers, and coconut mushroom soup. Our server was really friendly and attentive, and the patio atmosphere was very comfortable. We’ll definitely be back!

If you want to come here for a cool atmosphere and an experience, then I suggest going here.
However, do not trust the hype over this place. The flavor is lacking in a crazy way. Some of the meat was fatty and grisly. The only thing that was outstanding was the pork belly skewer and the drinks. It’s also ridiculous to wait as long as we did between ordering when other tables we’re getting their food out quick.
If you want a good drink or a banger pork belly skewer, they got it 😎
Otherwise, perhaps look elsewhere.

The Tabehodai ayce is the way to go if you are hungry. Loved getting to try a little bit of everything. Literally everything I put in my mouth was delicious. Our server was great! She made great recommendations about drinks to go with our food. The environment is awesome. Great experience! We had the Tabehodai menu each and each had a beer and sake for about $100.

We did the all you can eat promotion. Service was very slow, they dropped check after 45 min when they say you have the table for 2 hrs. The server said we could keep ordering, but the move felt passive aggressive. We really hadn’t ordered much food at that point. The last dish we had order was put in about fifteen minutes before check was dropped (2 chicken skewers). After waiting for another fifteen minutes, we just left. The food was bland and disappointing. I think the price may have actually be cheaper if we had order regular menu. We normally tip 20-25%, but this experience was so bad, we couldn’t justify. Server seemed annoyed to be serving us. This business needs to seriously evaluate these issues.

I was here about two weeks ago and really enjoyed my experience. My table did the tabehodai, which I think was well worth the price. Our food was delicious and it was so good in fact that I forgot to take photos of it! Furthermore, I have an allergy to egg, and I really appreciated the staff bringing out a list of what items to avoid ordering. Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely be back!

We had a great time at Otsu! Chose it for date night this past week. Loved the braised greens Rangoons and the shrimp dumplings. They had a diversified menu and a relaxed atmosphere. We had a great time and thought the prices were pretty great. 10/10 would recommend. Casual, comfortable, good food. :)

Otsu has become my go to restaurant for great food, great drinks, great service and very cool ambience. The patio is one of the most beautiful, coolest spaces downtown! Even in the heat of summer it was comfortable. I’m not sure how they do it but the food is consistently better every trip. The specials are creative and tasty. My personal faves: the greens rangoons, Kanom gui chai, saku sai but you can’t really go wrong with any of the food or drink menu!

We had a group of 4 go on Sunday when Otsu was doing the Tabehodai (all you can eat) on Sunday. It was such a blast to try different food on the menu. Everything we had was delicious!
The top picks from our group were the Braised Greens Rangoons, Saku Sai Mu, Zavel's Okra Gumbo, and all of the skewers with emphasis on the Moo Ping (pork belly) and Beef! Will definitely be back!

We dined here when it first opened and weren't impressed, but we just gave it another shot for their tabehodai dinner, and loved it.
Flavors were delicious, service was great, and the tabehodai was an excellent value. We split rounds and rounds of dumplings and yakitori for a group of 4, and we left very fat and happy.
Highly recommend.

I’m so happy to have Otsu! in Knoxville! The food is creative and delicious. I crave the coconut mushroom wonton soup- & their homemade chili crunch needs to be bottled and sold- it’s so good! The atmosphere is relaxed but lively, never too noisy. And the staff is wonderful. Other favorites: saku sai mu, the pork belly from the grill, & the seasonal menu right now has a wonderful salad & pork ribs.
