the cheapest and most convenient place to eat on campus located right on the hill - you can get a drink and a pimento cheese (or other) sandwich for 5.46, or a hot meal for only about 10. it's also fast, reliable, and good! bonus, it's been here since my parents went to utk, so it's cool to hear their stories about Ray's place from the 90s and then visit often myself!

I worked right above Ray’s place for 4 years. Everything here is something you can buy from Sam’s club or Costco. It is convenient but not even as good as a food truck. Believe me the nice old guy is not poor at all.

I have really enjoyed eating and studying at Ray’s Place. They truly work hard here and provide a clean environment to study and eat. However, I have recently been deterred from Ray’s after hearing a lady in the kitchen discussing her distaste in the clothes I was wearing. Not sure if I will return. It felt very unprofessional.
