Southbound bar and Nightclub

Should be 0 stars. The bouncers would be better at getting in fights than any drunk guy I’ve ever seen if the cops weren’t holding their pockets every night. Jokes. Waste of a night, waste of money, waste of space. Put something new there.

Homophobic, and I didn’t even do anything… I hugged my friend, got grabbed by the collar and thrown out.. a few weeks later my friends got thrown out for carrying a delta8 pen in the purse, bc we didn’t wanna throw it away we were told to never come back ? why would anyone ever wanna go here ?

This is possibly the most backwards ran establishment within 100 miles, I work at a bar myself as a bouncer, the bouncers here have big mouths when 5 others are standing behind them, they will disrespect you and talk down to you for no reason. They will let you get “to drunk” then put you on the street to get arrested instead of offering water or something and some time to sober up. Completely ridiculous. I suggest Hanna’s place next door. Way better.

Wouldn’t let me and my fiancée in due to “athletic” shorts and sweatpants. But then watched him let in another person wearing similar clothing. Absolutely ridiculous. I was prepared to spend a substantial amount of money for a friends birthday.

The worst experience before getting through the door. These men outside the "sports bar" was searching my husband ( pat down) and my friends purse like we were at TSA. They then told us that we weren't allowed to bring in cigars in the bar: the package was UNopened. Then we were told we would have to dispose the cigars in front of them to enter the bar. The 3 slim jims with mustaches looked at us like we competed a crime. We are the ages of 36-30. 3/4ths of our party are veterans. What disgusting actions to invade our privacy and belongs as such a poor act. Southbound will be heading south soon with the way they host they're guests. Never again. Don't waste your time!

The ladies that work there were awesome and a good little spot for that r&b and hip-hop style dance club

Completely understand asking for my ID, but then asking for a debit card, so I say hey I think I forgot it in then the car but then remember it’s in my pocket and hand it to him and he says “wow that’s mighty convenient”. WHAT, I gave you what you asked for!!!!

Similar to other reviews, I also encountered a racist bouncer. I will not return and would encourage other folks to not visit this establishment which clearly has biases.

Well out friends came in tonight and got denied at the door, because he couldn't hear what dude was saying he is hearing impaired and your bar needs to be shut down for people who can't really hear! You got two mister clean looking guys out there being disrespectful. Show some common curiosity.

If I could give it 0 starts I would. The staff act like it’s some prestigious establishment, like be real it’s a mediocre club in the lamest city in Tennessee.

I came here for a birthday trip. When I got to the door I was turned around due to the shoes I had on which were flip flops. They told me that sandals and flip flops were prohibited in the establishment. I had other shoes inside the car which my fiance went to get. I stood there with the rest of my party and watched as other females (white) got in with sandals on. When a person from my party asked the bouncer what was the difference inside the shoes. The other bouncer said the shoes I was wearing was the same shoes he wore in prison. I am a black African American female and he was a white male. That was was the most racist comment that anyone could say to me. I've never been disrespected and to compare my shoes to someone whose been in prison just baffled me. He didn't like my response and immediately flashed the police officers to come and have us removed from outside by the establishment. When the police officers came over and I told them what he said they told to me to contact the owners on Monday. I'm going to do this and take it a step above them as well. This place needs to hire people who are not racist to work at this establishment and I will be reporting this to every news media and social media too. He need to be fired each and everyone of them at the door.

Bouncers suck stole my stuff and wouldn’t admit to it. When confronted they called their cop friends and bullied me and my group off.

Rude, disrespectful, disgusting and quite literally psycho staff. My friends and I purchased VIP and walked into our reserved area and were literally attacked by some brunette giant on a power warpath within 2 minutes bc SHE was confused by her sloppy ID checker who had my credit card. I’m a 37 year old mother and half of us weren’t even drinking. The staff were definitely intoxicated and/or high. They laid hands and pushed most all of our group. The worst place and people I’ve ever experienced. The owner should shut down and reevaluate.

The only reason I chose 1 star is because I had to so I could type the review. Southbound gets zero stars. The staff is rude, the service is horrible, and the bouncers are out of hand with how they act. I’ve worked in several bars over the years and the way this staff treats patrons is beyond ridiculous. Go to Hannah’s! Much better service and atmosphere.
