Brown Hall is a fantastic dorm, despite its relatively high cost. Still practically brand new, Brown has the latest in comfort and safety technologies, including electronic room keys and a state-of-the-art fire control system and command center. Gone are the days of dreaded community bathrooms and dorm rooms with brick walls. Brown manages to feel like a nice, modern home. It currently houses various Living Learning Communities as well as honors students.
Great dorm hall with friendly staff and clean, modern facilities. A little expensive compared to the other dorms at the University of Tennessee. Only serious complaint is the small number of clothes washers.

What a fabulous dorm! We just moved our daughter in! The dorm itself is really nice! She lives in a quad layout with two rooms (2 people per room), a living space with a bathroom off of it, full-size fridge, microwave...very spacious. Glass stairs, and on her floor was a large seating area as well as one behind doors so that it is nice and quiet. The lowest level has both a Subway and Twisted Taco. The location is central as well.
