the new owners definitely lost the magic. the brisket in the ramen used to be so good, now it looks like shaved lunchmeat. and the salmon bowl my partner always got wasnt quite up to par either. kimchi wasnt as flavorful. and they got rid of so many pinball machines(and im pretty sure they dont have a free pinball night anymore). they basically got rid of everything that made this place special. would still come for the drinks but i think ill go somewhere else to eat next time. i used to recommend this place to everyone but after going with family who had been there a couple years prior and were really looking forward to it..we left disappointed. if you havent been there before it would still be enjoyable, but knowing what it used to be the standard was set high&they didnt deliver.
Great happy hour special and appetizers! And they have a photo-booth in the back.

Visiting Knoxville for the first time we wanted to have some fun and this was a great choice! Yummy craft beers on draft - did not eat here, but played a lot of pinball! The vibe is casual and lively and the bartenders are attentive and offer samples. I would definitely recommend it!

Really enjoyed visiting here with a group of friends. The reason for 3 stars is several games did not work. Two of the foosball tables took our money but did not deploy the ball enough to finish a game.

The Rise and Shine ramen broken my brain with how flavorful and it was - and the Veg-O-Bowl ramen had THE BEST MUSHROOMS I’ve EVER put in my mouth. 10/10

I mean the atmosphere was cool, the aesthetic they're going for is nice looking. but as someone just passing through I was shocked at the lack of hospitality from the bartender girl in the back. Her attitude tonight was awful. Please don't tell us you heard the first time and is and it's going to take a while for you to grab a canned beer, especially when it was the first time we asked for a refill. We went and sat somewhere else besides the bar to have a good time. I just want to drink without getting dirty looks, ma'am!

Love the place. Only opportunity for improvement is the ventilation in the kitchen. If we walk in and smell the kitchen, we usually just leave.

With the influx of trendy and pricey bars and restaurants downtown, it's refreshing to find a place like Suttree’s that embodies the “Keep Knoxville Scruffy” spirit I love. From the moment you walk in, you feel an immediate sense of comfort. The cozy bowls of delicious ramen, the nostalgic pinball machines, and the live local musicians all contribute to a unique and inviting atmosphere. The staff are incredible, always welcoming and eager to serve. Suttree’s is a true gem on Gay Street, and I highly recommend it.

Great place to go and hang out have a bite and play some pinball and a few other games. Good atmosphere, clean and friendly. Best ramen in as far as where I've eaten.

I'm conflicted by this place. They have good pinball machines and they are kept clean and maintained. However, their food is a big wheatfest. I'm sure the Ramen and hot dogs are great but since I'm a person who can't eat wheat, it's pointless for me. It's 2024... having a gluten-free bun or one dish with rice noodles would increase at least 20% of their clientele. It's time to join the rest of the world and accommodate all people. Until then, I'll just play pinball and eat elsewhere like the rest of us dealing with gut health issues.
Dietary restrictions: This place has only wheat to offer in their food
