Great bartender who took time to make an excellent cocktail!
Many thanks to front desk workers Dawson and Holly for being extra kind and helpful. Holly made my reservation and I ended up in exactly the type of room I wanted. For me that's 3rd floor, balcony room, on interstate side. I love interstate sounds at night! My room was clean, had just a tad of an unpleasant odor, but overall very comfortable and I was able to sleep well.
In our room traffic on the express way could be heard. This did not bother us though. If noise bothers you, may want to ask for a room further from the HWY. Towards the evening the smell of “weed” was overpowering in the hall. We had to put a towel across bottom of the door. Everything else was good.
We booked several rooms here for my brothers wedding. Upon arrival, one of the family members did not have a physical credit card with him. The general manager was called to help but rather than offering a credit card authorization form or help getting another person to use their card for the stay at the guest was asked to leave. The general manager refused to give any contact information, including their name, email address, or corporate information and threatened to call the police because she said she felt threatened by the nature of the questions. The entire wedding party decided to cancel as well and went next-door to the best western wear. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
We were in a suite that was very sparsely furnished and not the least bit pleasant. At first the bedroom TV did not work, they did fix it the next day. The only thing I can say that was nice about that room was the bed, it was clean and comfortable the rest of the suite looked like a cheap motel. The one piece of furniture was a couch and it was torn and old and uncomfortable. Other than bed tables, desk with one chair, one dresser and one chair in the bedroom, the windows were dirty and curtains looked dirty also. The desk people and the food people were pleasant and professional the suite itself was awful, we had planned to stay another night but the room was to off-putting for us to consider it.
Always very good although I miss the nighttime person. Older hotel but well located. The breakfast came out cold but they quickly made another. Everyone is very nice. I'll stay again. Easy to get to.
Positives: - Smooth check in and check out - Easy parking - Quiet Negatives: - Dirty bathroom, did not feel it's being cleaned - Debris, dirt, and hairs all over the bathroom floor - Dirty hair dryer bag - Worn and torn toilet seat which made it look gross This property felt like Marriott chose to downgrade itself to a 1-to-2-star motel with its room cleanliness and condition. I would not feel comfortable recommending.
The hotel is very tired and out dated in the rooms. TV appeared to be 10 years old and not up to standards. The smell hotel was very Smokey and musty. The Ac didn’t cook the room. One of the beds was extremely squeaky and worn out. I will not be staying at this hotel again.
I was staying in an extended stay at this hotel before my apartment was ready (I am a transfer student at Tennessee U). I honestly did not expect much, but from my first day there to my last, it was quite an experience. Dawson, one of the front desk people, greeted me every time I walked through the lobby with a smile and a phenomenal attitude! He helped me with anything and everything, any chance he could! Dustin was one of the handymen there and always had a smile on his face, his mannerisms were the most professional and I wish I could have grabbed a beer with these two guys! Corey was the utility of the hotel from what I gathered. Glass half-full kind of guy, worked the bar, vacuumed and even ran back and forth from hotel to hotel, doing his thing, very efficient! The maintenance/ cleaning staff was not only incredibly respectful whenever entering my room, but they did a great job cleaning every other day. The hallways were always clean, I had new towels every other day, the atmosphere was full of life and energy without being too loud! All of this is thanks to their general assistant manager, Sherri Rhodes! Every time I had any type of issue, small or large, Sherri handled it while holding the biggest smile and a positive attitude! She also let me interview her (during her free time) for a class project! Every single member of this hotel greeted me with care, respect and a fun conversation. I am a brutally honest person, so if there was anything wrong with anyone or anything at this hotel, I'd tell you... 100% would recommend staying here, whether you're a family, a solo person on business, or just looking for a nice spot (close to town) that keeps things clean! I wish I could go back and thank them all again for their hospitality!
As you enter, the lobby looked very nice with an updated sitting area with a Starbucks. Unfortunately, that is not the case for the room. The room was outdated, had a musty smell and the AC did not cool the room that well. Overall, it was an ok overnight stay. However, I would not go back. If you do stay here, make sure you bring an extra usb charger as there is only one on the clock.

The staff was terrific especially Brittany! She was absolutely fantastic and so much fun to talk to. My room was up to Marriott standards for sure! I would definitely recommend this this hotel to anyone! Thank you Brittany for making my visit with my daughter so amazing!
I've been a Marriott Bonvoy member for years, and based on a good experience at a different Marriott Courtyard, my wife and I spent a night at Marriott Courtyard Knoxville – Cedar Bluff in July 2022. First of all, the staff were marvelous. As helpful and friendly as they could be. The room was reasonably comfortable and was quiet. The “Bistro” has pretty good food (though pricy, and the menu is very limited), and beats having to get back in the car to drive to a restaurant. Housekeeping occurs every other day, which is better than some chains. But potential guests should be aware of the following issues that affected our stay: 1. Our room was on the second floor, but the hotel's icemaker is on the first floor. 2. The pull-out desk is useful, but nevertheless there is a lot of wasted floor space. Marriott should provide more countertop space for briefcases and suitcases. This seems to be fairly common among similar hotel chains nowadays. 3. There are no – none - zero - amenities (soap, shampoo, etc.) except for those available via dispenser pumps in the shower. Good luck finding soap to wash your hands and face in the lavatory. I pumped some liquid soap out of the shower pump and left it in a paper cup beside the lavatory, but it resulted in a messy pool of liquid soap on the vanity top, and that’s not a satisfactory solution. 4. The single lavatory is in a small countertop with little free space. But the hotel has chosen that skimpy space as a home for the coffeemaker. There’s hardly enough space for my shaving kit. Maybe they don’t expect guests to use the lavatory? Ridiculous. 5. Only one USB port in the room, and it's on the alarm clock on the nightstand. There are two 110v outlets on the desk lamp and two more 110v outlets on the floor lamp. 6. Carpet feels sticky. Need to remember to bring slippers so our bare feet don't have to touch the floor. 7. The bathroom had an aroma that I charitably describe as mildew. Not worth the price. We use hotels six or seven nights a year, but I will take Marriott Courtyard off my list of preferred lodging while I continue to search for a hotel chain that provides adequate service for the price.
My daughter and I stayed at this hotel during our time in Knoxville. It's located near a lot of great restaurants and things to do. The hotel rooms are a good size and everything feels very clean. However, what set this hotel apart for us was the employees! Samantha at the front desk was SO friendly and welcoming - every time we came in she greeted us and asked how we were doing. She was so warm and welcoming, above and beyond other hotel experiences we've had. Breonna at the cafe was another stellar employee. First of all, her food was amazing - we didn't know what to expect but she knows what she's doing in the kitchen. The kids meals are huge and all the food we tasted of hers was so good! She was always smiling and friendly, attentive to people's needs even when the lobby was busy. Sometimes it feels like you're just another guest at hotels, but that was not the case here. Great experience!
