If only I could give a negative 5 for this review on Google.Imagine if you will contacting a place one week in advance to schedule a party for 60 guests. An excited (and friendly) person quickly messages you back to let you know they are looking forward to welcoming your party - assuring you they can handle such a crowd. Fast forward to the evening of the event - guests have been contacted, decorations prepared, and cupcakes baked. You show up to the party early just to make sure everything is perfect and in order. As you pull up to the building you notice the building is locked, the windows covered with paper, with only one light burning outside of the door. You immediately reach back out to see what is happening. There is no answer, no response to texts, no response to Facebook messenger. All frantic pleas are ignored. A lady approaches to unlock the door. As you are asking her a question she quickly goes inside literally shutting and locking the door in your face. The reality - you are left with no venue, no wine - just decorations, cupcakes, and guests who have started to arrive.Yes - this was our experience with a place called Double S Wine Bar - a customer service nightmare tucked on the outskirts of the city. Thankfully, our friends - who are simply amazing - were very understanding and helped to transition the party to another bar around the street.Looking back, I am thankful for good friends, thankful for flexibility, and thankful I will NEVER be doing business with a place called Double S. Of course, with their approach to business and customer service, I doubt they will be in operation long. Thankfully, the owner's lack of customer service skills (or basic human dignity for that matter) will help to make certain any business venture they pursue fails. Such failure is a blessing to any future customers and, to be honest, the city at large.To the owner, please reach out to me. After all my last minute texts, calls, and messages, I am sure you have my info.

Amazing spot, speakeasy style club with silent disco and after hours vibe.. It was a surprise for me to find such a cool watering hole in Knoxville!! And the owner was super nice and even let us play EDM music on one of the channels!! Will definitely revisit!!
