Kenzie was very accommodating with our large part of 7. Several of us had dietary restrictions and allergies and they were able to accommodate. The gluten free Scone was delicious.

What a delightful tea room. Our hostess was helpful and friendly. The food in the high tea was above par and if we lived closer we would visit much more often.

My friend and I chose to spend my Birthday lunch at Kracken. It was absolutely wonderful. Plowman's lunch was awesome. It will be my new go to place. The service was excellent.

My daughter and I absolutely loved this tearoom. We made a reservation in advance because we weren't sure how busy it would be. They have 90 different kinds of tea plus additional holiday/specialty teas plus food items. It was all very yummy!

This is a lovely and eclectic spot that will satisfy every year lover you might know. One side of the building is invokes feeling of a garden party, sipping tea out on the lawn or on your veranda.
The second side steps right out of Victorian time. Warmth from the library decorated with treasures from around the world highlight the expiration of Miss Valentine Van Der Doodle.

The staff is highly knowledgeable about tea and offer suggestions ranging from the most basic of palats to tasting note for even your most experienced tea connoisseur.

When you want to relax from the busy world you can not find a better spot to do so.

I try to come in and get a Marble Ci-tea once a month. Always a delightful time with attentive and knowledgeable waitstaff, amazing food, and of course top notch tea.

Sat in the old world library side of the restaurant on a Wednesday afternoon. It was quiet, cozy, rainy and a perfect day for a tea party for my husband and I. We had the old city socie-tea which included a delicious scone with toppings, small sandwiches, desserts and a full pot of tea of course. The selections of teas were far more than we have ever seen at a tea house before. Something for everyone else. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We even were able to purchase some of their teas to bring home. While the tab was not the price of your average lunch, it was well worth the price to be able to have a lovely, unique experience right here in Knoxville. We would recommend this place to all tea lovers and those who would love to try tea for the first time, and will definitely return.

Excellent afternoon tea. Food was delicious and they actually give you huge tea pot full. Ive been to other tea services and you barely get enough for 2 cups. Loved the library decor. You could spend hours reading and sipping tea to relax! Great job everyone

Experienced the tea for 2 on s date night. The server was lovely and the total tea experience was well worth the price. The don't skimp on portions or quality.

Had an exquisite experience at The Kraken Cup Tearoom today! Lireal was our server, and she was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and so much fun. She walked us through the menu thoroughly and gave excellent recommendations. We had the Tea for Two, and everything was tasty and well balanced. We got to try lots of different finger foods and desserts and two different pots of tea! Would highly recommend every part of the experience. And thanks to Lireal for such kindness and amazing service!

I had one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had at this tea room and it unfortunately happened on my birthday.
From the moment we arrived, the service was chaotic. Our waitress seemed completely scatterbrained and disappeared shortly after seating us, claiming an “emergency.” No one even noticed our table was unattended for over 30 minutes, until we flagged someone down for help. Once we did, our new waitress had no idea what we even ordered.
When our tea finally arrived after a 45 min wait, it was cold. Not lukewarm, not room temp. COLD. As if it had been sitting out for ages. Another 30 minutes later, we received what they called a “cheese and fruit tray,” which was laughable: one small triangle of brie, three grapes, and two crackers.
Almost 40 minutes after that, the rest of the food showed up: two finger sandwiches (one tuna, one chicken), two tiny cupcakes, and two macaroons. When I inquired about what is taking so long, the response was “we have to make things from scratch”. WHAT in the world could warrant something taking that long? For the tea experience this and the price we paid, this was an absolute joke. The food itself was bland, uninspired, and honestly disgusting.
To make matters worse, the tea policy is bizarre. At most tea rooms, you get unlimited tea served in small pots. Here? One pot per person. One member of our group did get the unlimited tea option, and the staff made them feel completely uncomfortable about it by repeatedly asking, “Are you planning to share?” and “Are you sure? Because you’re not supposed to.” It was rude, unnecessary, and made the whole experience feel awkward.
In over two hours, not one staff member checked in to ask how things were, offer a refill, or make sure we were doing okay. There were only two other guests in the whole place..how is it possible the service was this disorganized?
This was an absolute letdown. Not worth the money, not worth the time, and definitely not the experience I was hoping for. I will not be coming back, and I’ll be warning my friends and family to stay far away. What a complete disappointment!
Listen to the other reviews saying the same thing about time, staff and food quality. I didn’t believe it and wish I didn’t spend 100+ dollars here. Waste of my time AND money!

Not too sure what this place is. Not a Tea House by any means. I suggest the owner send someone in and have them share their experience. It was quite embarrassing. Waiter we're training, waiter has to leave from an emergency, another one took their break. Brought food out and didn't know who ordered what. Never explained the teas, never made suggestions. Just told us the class tea experience would be about two hours to get all the items and they aren't kidding. We were the only ones in there and it took 2 hours to get some finger sandwiches and deserts. I could only imagine if the place was busy. Had to ask for milk to put in my tea. I got the into the deep and got one tea. Never asked how it was, never asked if I wanted to try another. Interior looks great, has potential but you order a classic tea experience you shouldnt just have one tea to try.

100000/10. Best Bachelorette spot ever! If you like quiet chill vibes you’ll love it. If you are loud and excited, also a vibe. Kenzie is THE BEST server! Came all the way from FL and will be back (:

I recently visited The Kraken Cup in Knoxville, and overall, the place was charming and had a lovely tea party atmosphere. The décor was whimsical, and it felt like stepping into a cozy, elegant tea room. However, the service left much to be desired.

We arrived at 12:00 and didn’t leave until 2:15, which was far longer than expected. I understand they had a bachelorette party to attend to, but waiting an hour and a half just to receive our tray felt excessive. We ordered the Tea for Two, which was decent but a bit pricey for what you actually get.

While I appreciated the ambiance, the long wait and the value for the price make me hesitant to return. If you're looking for a leisurely tea experience and don’t mind the wait, you might enjoy it—but personally, I don’t think I’ll be back.
