This an amazing restaurant - and it has stood the test of time. High scale service and food. One of our hometown favorites.

We got a final chance to eat dinner at CC Cumberland Avenue as it prepares to close and be demolished next week. This restaurant opened in 1975 when we were college students at UTK. It’s an upscale restaurant in a beautiful building surrounded by more student-oriented bars, stores and fast food places. It’s terribly sad that the entire area is turning into apartments and condos. In any event what’s done is done. Our dinner started with the classic fried mushroom appetizer, then the Monte Cristo sandwich with sweet potato fries for me and chicken fingers with Nevas potatoes. Dessert was a delicious chocolate cheesecake! Everything was great. We will miss this iconic place.

We are so grateful for an amazing evening down in the cellar with our son to celebrate the end of his freshman year at UTK. The bisque and shrimp cocktail appetizers were delicious and the steaks were amazing. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was cozy and a perfect place to celebrate! We will certainly miss this iconic restaurant location in Knoxville. ?

I'm sad. They are closing the OG...Love Copper Cellar. We will miss this location.Quick review. The Monte Cristo .. it's OK. The frech toast is just too mushy to make a good sandwich.Everything else rocks.

This location is closing in 2 weeks that I was unaware of. The grills made the steaks taste like they were charred! Horrible taste! Way not worth what I paid for dinner for my family!

Very beautiful on the inside!Noisy but not too noisy. Very good food and good quality but we ordered a salad and it never came. But you should totally go. I recommend the chicken wings tossed in the sweet and spicy sauce.Server was very sweet!

Pretty good food and good atmosphere. We always like to support local restaurants when we travel but this one seemed like we were eating at Applebees. Service was excellent though!

I was told go to the Copper Cellar it’s the best, well for the first time I went and it was terrible, ordered a drink came to the table weak, sent it back and came back better, wanted a certain beer was told all out. Ordered the wings to start they were good but I asked for another blue cheese the little cup was enough for four wings, they said they have to charge me .50 seriously! We order the fish and chips we’ll that was definitely not fresh but you can tell it was frozen and over cooked. My bill was $65 plus tip, that’s a joke for this supposed to be the best restaurant around. My waiter was wonderful.

We loved the place as soon as we walked in. Dylan was our server and we had a great way about him. Very attentive but we never felt as though we were being rushed. The food was outstanding. I had the crab cakes that were delicious and my husband had a steak which he said was great.

The food is always top notch and consistently good. I eat there at least once a month and can't remember ever having a bad meal.

This was the very best Valentine's dinner we could have hoped for. Thanks for the experience and please keep up the good work and we will be back. We all had different steaks and they were all superb.

This was my first time to the restaurant. It was empty. It took 15 min for our server to greet us. She was polite. Just not trained on basics. Our appetizer took 20 min. It was pretzels. They came out not hot. We order quesadillas, Buffalo Tenders, and my soup. The pretzels were alright. Quesadillas and Chicken were good. My Chicken Chili tasted like a bowl of salt. Our server was sympathetic and offered to get me something else. She handled that very well. Slow service. Slow food times and mediocre food. :(

We had a great time, excellent waitress/bartender. As usual, great ambience. A true shame that this place will soon be history, we have learned of plans to tear this establishment down to put up some relatively soulless apartment building

I was looking for a "nice" dinner near Thompson Boling Arena. Internet searches led me here. So glad they did. Ambiance, service and food were all excellent. My only complaint is that the portions were so large that we were not able to finish our meals, and the food was so good we really wanted to! Outstanding steak! Can't wait for the opportunity to go back and try again!

Dinner for two. The service was a little slow on a busy night, but the food was very good and the prices were reasonable for the quality.
