My wife and I went here for our anniversary dinner on the recommendation of a friend. Sadly, it was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. I ordered their *signature* NY Strip and asked for it to be prepared medium rare. When the waitress brought it out and I cut into the steak, I found the center to be raw and cold. Sent it back. The waitress brought it out a second time; again I cut into the center and it was still mostly cold and raw. Sent it back again. She brought it out a third time, and STILL the center was raw and cold. To make matters worse, each time she brought my steak out she brought out my same fries, which of course were now also cold. My appetite now ruined, I told her to forget it and just remove the steak from our bill. On the plus side, the few fries I got to eat before they turned cold were very good, my wife's prime rib was good, and our provolone cheese stick appetizer was good. When the waitress brought our bill I noticed that they calculate the tip on the total bill, instead of just the food. Tips should not be calculated on the tax, so I calculated the tip correctly and gave our waitress a $100 bill for our bill of $66.65. When she brought change in the amount of $33 I asked her where my $0.35 was. She informed me that they don't deal in change so she rounded down. She did offer to give me $1 back after I griped about that terrible policy. At that point I asked for the manager. I explained the whole situation, finishing with how the waitress had the nerve to round down my change after the horrible experience we had there. He offered to *comp* my meal. I told him there was no comping because I had returned it uneaten and of course would not have paid for it anyway. He then offered me a gift certificate for a future visit, which I declined since we will never go there again.
This place is awesome! So good!

I got prime rib with a sweet potato and salad.
The prime rib was cooked right, was very tender and tasted great.
Sweet potato wasn't anything special, just a roasted potato but it was cooked all the way thru and soft.
The salad was bare minimum. Lettuce, two rings of onion, four cherry tomatoes and some shaved carrots.
The waitress was very nice can made sure I had everything I needed. Very nice and helpful.

A great place with history. The food is good, but not 5 stars. A bit pricey.

Our family enjoyed our dinner at Ye Olde Steakhouse. The staff was very friendly and took great care of us. The food was delicious. We had filet mignon, new york strip, and grilled shrimp. We will definitely be back.

First of all the food was wonderful, high quality steak cooked perfectly, and an amazing homemade Ranch dressing. Secondly the owner and staff are the best! My little boy forgot his wallet with all his birthday money in it at the restaurant and they offered to mail it to our home 2 hours away without expecting anything in return. Will return every time we are in Knoxville!
The grilled shrimp tasted as if they dunked them in lighter fluid before tossing them on the grill for a brief moment. It was truly terrible. The burgers had way too much much fake liquid smoke flavor.
The food is really not great ordered a big giant New York strip well done it came bloody the cheese sticks we're probably Frozen the chicken was chewy and had no flavor the people were very nice but I have to leave an honest review will not go back
We were seated immediately and our waitress attended to us right away. We both ordered the prime rib and they were cooked perfectly. We got the woodshed potatoes for our side and they tasted great.

Legendary steaks, great service.
Very local
No finer steak can be had at any price in Knoxville. Expect to wait to be seated, but the meal is worth both the drive and the wait.
In Knoxville on business and boss brought us here for an amazing dinner! Cool place within walking distance lots of character.
Everything tasted amazing. The cheese spread was very nice. We loved the old log house atmosphere. The bathrooms could use a little love though.
Another GREAT experience! We have eaten here both times that we were in Knoxville. Excellent food, wonderful service, great atmosphere. Can't say enough good things. Thanks for a great meal!
