the best restaurant without challenge!!! We have been to our local Kodak Chop House for years and it never fails to amazes my my family and friends and those we recommend going. Can't say enough about the quality of food in every dish. The service is over the top and an amazing atmosphere. The bar service is fantastic and delicious. Thank you again to our crew at Kodak for your hospitality and wonderful food.
This is a fantastic place. The food is always prepared perfectly and we have yet to have a bad entree. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for high quality food in an upscale but not stuffy environment.
Nice restaurant, $$$ with good service and usually great food. Warning: Do not order the $52, 16 oz. Delmonico Ribeye cooked "Blue Rare" (or sometimes referred to as "Pittsburgh Blue". The chef, even with 18 yrs. supposed experience, got it wrong. An expensive mistake for me. Maybe a lesson to be learned by the chef, in this case?
Marty, the birthday boy, had the house salad, followed by filet medallions placed on burgundy mushrooms and broccoli. He loved it. I had prime rib with raw horseradish, baked potato and burgundy mushrooms. All was delicious and served very professionally by McKayla. The manager stopped by and we told him that the meal and service were perfect. Brought home chocolate cake and caramel sauce and ice cream for another time. Pleasantly stuffed!!!♥️♥️♥️
We had a Saturday night reservation for 9 people. We were seated very quickly upon arrival. Our server, Paige was very attentive and patient with our party (including a 3 year old). The food was fantastic. I'm glad we decided to dine at the Chop House for our last night of vacation in the Smoky Mountains!
Overall, Google review rating is 4.5, but look at lowest star reviews. There's been a lot of 1 star reviews from recent months. Here is another one-star review from my visit in June 2025. Two diners came in for lunch. The service was good, but prices for the terrible food are outrageous. I don't know why all the reviews on here say $30-50 per person. It's more. We ordered 2 waters, 1 coffee, 2 martinis, 1 appetizer, and 2 entrees. Our total was $121.23 plus $20 tip, so $141.23 and no desserts. The water glass was visibly dirty. The martini was about 1/2 inch from being full, and the volume in martini glasses comes from the top, so I'm guessing I only received a half serving. The appetizer we had crab cake and shrimp. The shrimp was overcooked and so chewy I could barely cut it with a knife and definitely couldn't chew it or swallow it. The shrimp came on top of a bed of dry fettuccine noodles, I've never seen this anywhere. Who would want that? Inedible. The salmon was soaked in lemon juice and salt, then char gilled that the skin couldn't even be cut with a knife. When I put the salmon in my mouth, I had to spit it out because it was so over seasoned. Could not taste salmon at all. The salmon dish came with a whole head of brocolli, no stems cut off. Why are you making me work so hard to eat my food? I had Mahi Mahi tacos (for the Mahi Mahi plate price because the tacos come with shrimp, and after the app shrimp, I wasn't trying shrimp again). The tacos were good but watery (water dripped out of the bottom). The slaw on the tacos was visibly old and turning grey, not fresh cut cabbage slaw that's colorful. That dish also came with a pineapple relish, which was also full of fluid. It seems it was pre-made and had been sitting for days in a fridge, like the slaw. My husband is from the area and has been several times about 10 years back. He remembers it being really good, so we went. I'm extremely disappointed. They advertise as a nice fine dining place with white tablecloths and then serve terrible inedible food. The chef is lazy, prep your food so it's fresh and ready to be eaten (examples of broccoli stem, old slaw, old relish, etc.). The bartender is lazy, clean your glasses properly, and actually measure alcohol so the glass is served with the correct amount. I do not recommend wasting your hard earned money here!
We always love the Chop House, but our food just wasn't good this time. Other than the salad, nothing tasted right. The steak was bland; the fish wasn't good; and the caramel chocolate cake had something wrong with it. As regular patrons of the multiple Chop House locations, we know what to expect and something was just off. The service and ambiance were excellent as always.
First time visiting a Chop House. The food was good and the service was great. Just wish they would have pulled the sword fish off just a few minutes earlier.
Great place to go eat. Pleasant atmosphere. Great service and great people!
Cody was the best server I have ever had. He keep up on my drink and made I didn’t need any thing else

The food qas excellent.
Service was incredible. Meat came out prepared correctly. Lots of big parties that night, so mistakes could have been made - but they weren't! Never had to ask or remind our server for a thing.
The Chop House, particularly this location in Kodak, is consistently excellent. Service is always superior and the food is great. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a great meal that is reasonably priced.
We had a great dinner at The Chop House. After hours on the road we wanted a quiet place for dinner with well cooked food without a lot of hassle and that is exactly what we found. We were seated quickly in a nice quiet booth and got our drinks and bread while we looked at the menu. My husband ordered the 10oz ribeye that was cooked to perfection and I had the best pork chops I've had in a long time. They had a great flavor and were very well cooked. Everything was amazing. This was such a nice change from the hustle and bustle of normal restaurants that are right off the interstate. We will definitely make this a regular stop when we are in the area.
I eat the Chop House Pork Chop special almost every time I go here. It's always amazing. Last night it was overcooked and dry. I told the waiter and he immediately apologized and took it back. I waited quite a long time for the replacement; but the second one was cooked as it should be. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they had taken the chop off our bill. Good customer service does still exist at this restaurant. No chef is perfect and mistakes are made; but the management made sure it was taken care of. Thank you Chop House!
