Absolutely amazing food! I had the tassot cabrit and it was perfectly cooked; tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Marjorie went above and beyond with her hospitality. She was friendly, welcoming, and made sure everything was just right. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for authentic, delicious Haitian food and great service!

Great Haitian spot in Nashville! Food and service were top tier. Highly recommend for anyone who’s hungry for some Haitian cuisine. We had the tassot Kabrit and Diri kolé. Portions were large and fulfilling.

The food was good! Ordered their vegan Haitian legumes and fried plantains (green).

The food was tasty. I was in the mood for some cooked food that I didn't make myself

Lamont (very warm) gave me two of their sauces to try.

One is epis-very chlorophyl rich.
The other was pikilz (sp)-spicy contains habaneros with a little tang.

I mixed the two together and ate it with the rice. This elevated the rice and beans.

The stew that accompanied the rice and beans was yummy, reminded me of babaganoush, a bit, in consistency and flavor.

The plantains were fried just right and tasted better than any plantains that I have bought before.

This is a takeout spot through Midtown foods. Ordering was on screen, no waitstaff however the menu and process was pretty straightforward.

This was my first time here. I was looking forward to sitting down in an atmospheric location so I was a bit disappointed with the setup.

Would definitely recommend.

Oh I ate a lot before I thought to take a picture. Very filling.

Very very nice food and nice service that’s the place to be. I really love them and I’ll be back very soon I eat one over there and ordered another one to go

For someone who has been eating at Chez Lama since 2023 I’m so disappointed in the portion size of the food now. I ordered Tasso Kabrit (Fried Goat) which included a side for 25 dollars, honestly the plate looks like a lunch plate. Cutting back on food will cut back on customers. I will not be back. I wish you the best of luck.

I didn’t even come to this location for this restaurant. I went there for another restaurant and was pleasantly surprised to see a flyer with a Haitian flag! I have been looking for Haitian food since I arrived to TN and had to try. It was ABSOLUTELY delicious! The portions were great, perfect taste that was surely authentic and the owner brought out the food herself and spoke to me. She was very nice and spoke to me about the restaurant and their specials. I will definitely be returning and bringing people with me!

I placed an online order for another company (I won’t mention their name) at this location, and upon arriving, the company left a sign on the window saying they wouldn’t be there for three days. The owner (Chez) was dropping off another order at the front, and he noticed I had been waiting for a while. He offered to bring me a plate (free of charge), and even accommodated my dietary restrictions (Vegan). Chez was very sweet, professional, and respectful. The food was amazing, and I truly wish I could give more stars. You have a customer for life. Thank you

This was a terrible experience. I’m driving from Illinois to Fl and decided to stop in Nashville TN while I’m there I figured I’d look on google to see if there’s any Haitian restaurants nearby to grab some good food instead of the junks food I been eating in the road. Diri sos pwa nwa and Legume kabrit is what I ordered. Cost me $36. I figured for that I might be getting a different type of experience. Nope! Sos pwa was small, the legume kabrit was small. The diri blan was about the only thing that was a decent. The taste of the food was mediocre. The goat meat was salty as heck. I told the lady the legume was small if they can add more for $36 I just spent. She laughed and started to tell me about the bowl size and how many ounces it holds. I kid you not. That same food you’ll find it anywhere else costing you $18-25 average not no $36 dollars. Btw wait time is a joke no matter how early you put in that order. No one is at the counter to accommodate, so you sit and wait while all the workers stares at you. This was the most ridiculous Haitian restaurant I’ve ever experienced in all my years in America. Absolutely ridiculous and terrible. Then she had the audacity to ask me to leave a review. Well here it is. This is how my experience was and how I was treated.

I ordered through Doordash. Growing up in Florida, I have always been a fan of Haitian Cuisine. Ive never eaten Legumes before. The food was cooked well, hot, and brought me happiness. Id really like to see curry goat added in the future, but I most definately will order again. My only issue was that my food arrived with no utensil, thus causing me to go and fork myself before eating. Luckily I was able to find one, because this food was awesome
