I am originally from Chicago so I do consider myself a pizza snob. And no, we are not all about deep dish. I have had a hard time trying to find a pizza place that would even come close to what I had in Chicago. Then I tried The Pie Factory. The pizza there could compete with any of the best places in Chicago. In fact, I would put it on my top 3 pizza places ever. We get it every single weekend now.
3 of us dined here for lunch. We got the tomato basil dip, & 3 pizzas: granny's garden veggie, cheese, & old faithful. The dip was a chunky tomato with perfect flavor. It was very good! I ordered the garden veggies and it was OK but I feel like would have been better with more sauce or seasoning in the sauce. I ended up adding some spicy buffalo sauce & salt for a little added flavor & it was just what it needed. Hubby enjoyed his old faithful & friend...
This place is a gem. The pizza selections out class most well known NYC and Chicago Pizza places. The warm atmosphere, pleasant staff and interesting and thoughtful pizza selections are a must to try. Do not pass through Lawrenceburg without stopping here for pizza and wings.
