Nice friendly staff, food was out quick too.
Fast service, fair prices, sushi very clean tasting.
Nice little place to get something a little bit different than most other places I visited in town. Food was good. I would eat here again.
Love Yamato I always get the Friend Roll &vegtable fried rice and its always good
I didnt go here for years, but recently we've started going again & it has improved immensely! House Soba & of course the hibachi is delicious!
It's an okay place. But I've had better sushi & tempura.

My wife ordered a side of fried rice with her sushi roll. As we waited a plate of rice was set down in front of her. It was fried in soy sauce but had nothing in it like normal fried rice. No peas or carrot or onion pieces or egg. Just plain warm rice.
Waitress told us we have to order those things to get them. I’m an old guy military vet and have ordered fried rice all over the world. Strange.
I ordered a crispy sushi roll. It was fried to the point of being burnt tasting. Not a light crispy batter… but a hard crust like on battered fried shrimp. Like a very hard shell. The inside of the roll was 95% rice with a tiny piece of avacado and the most minuscule dab of salmon imaginable.
Overall effect was a heavy crusty chunk of rice roll covered in gooey sweet sauce that has given me horrible indigestion.
My wife’s sushi roll was not much better.
My beef and soba noodles had good noodles. The menu said steak tips but it was only slivers of very tough beef.
The waitress was nice and we only had to ask for a drink refill one time. She was kinda smart in that customer service way where you smile but still have a slight attitude.
The walls were filthy and need to be cleaned or painted.
I hope the “chef” doesn’t feel the need to tell us he hopes “we find our favorite restaurant and they can no longer serve us “.
I would never return… rather go to McDonalds.

I got 2 orders of fried rice... and 2 friend rolls.
Start with positive
Friend rolls were good.
Fast service
Negative
The fried rice was bland . No flavor. No vegetables??? Rice was stuck together.. could have been old.
Over priced 57.00 total?
I won't be going back.

Yamato is a hidden gem of a restaurant in Lawrenceburg, TN! I have dined there twice. I had hibachi steak lunch both times. The spring rolls were light and crispy. The steak was flavorful. Lunch came with lettuce salad, rice, broccoli and mushrooms. The service was excellent. Nice Asian decor. The only downside was that the walls were greasy. A fresh coat of paint would give a nice facelift. I recommend Yamato to anyone craving good Asian cuisine at a reasonable price.

My mom & I eat here every time she is in town. We always order online & take it home. We normally LOVE it. We asked for no mushrooms in my dad’s dinner. There were mushrooms. No hate on the chef but we got 4 rolls & my mom only ate half
Of her dragon & less that of her Philly roll because they were falling apart. Normally i don’t mind the taste of their crab but the Cali roll was not so hot & my eel & Avocado roll had no eel just sauce. Again never had an issue before but for the price we should have been able to eat it all. One because the food was not great & 3 for service bc of the mushrooms. The young lady at the desk was sweet.

What an excellent place to enjoy some of the best Japanese Steakhouse cuisine. The atmosphere was family friendly and clean! The serving staff were inviting and well educated. Autumn was so helpful and cheery. The food was so good!! I got the Beef Yaki Soba and added broccoli. Everything was perfectly cooked, crisp veggies and the steak was so flavorful!! The prices were very reasonable as well! We will definitely be coming back to Yamato's!!

Stopped in for lunch. Because it's valentines day the took off their lunch menu, dinner only. I'm here so ok. The salad was warm, the soup cold, steak hibachi covered in what tastes like syrup, and the vegetables were bland. I do not recommend this place. Panda Express is far better to give you a comparison. Over priced lunch to say the least!
