Bear down
I had fond memories of getting Penn Station where I used to live, just 25 miles away. Today, Sunday, I stopped in at 11:10 to order 3 Sandwiches, 1 fries, 1 lemonade, to-go, and finally left with them 45 minutes later. I feel bad for the employees working, all 2 of them, because there should be at least twice that many to handle the customer throughput. I saw potential customers come in, stand in a non- moving line of 1 person, and just give up and leave. I couldn't even get my lemonade to drink while I waited long enough to watch 2 episodes of any sitcom, because the lady making sandwiches couldn't hear my verbal request, but also was too busy to make eye contact. If I ever go back there, it'll be to see if they have a proper crew of 4+ people working, like the other leading sandwich shops in town. To reiterate, I'm not mad at the overworked couple making the food, which was ok, I'm mad at the management that made this untenable service situation.

We got free sub cards at the Indy races, so we decided to stop on our way home to try it. The food was delicious! The employees seemed a little overwhelmed, but they were nice.

Arrived 6 minutes early told had to wait even though held door for someone who had just gotten a sub. Went back to car and another customer walk in and place their order. Tables are always dirty and half of staff is rude or incompetent.

Food was ok. What you would expect from a chain restaurant. Ordered a cold sandwich and it was toasted. Quick in and out.

Food was so plain and bland the chicken teriyaki is the worst sub I think I’ve ever ate. I remember school lunches being better and the place is so expensive I got me, my gf and daughter something to eat. And it was as about 70 dollars for the 3 subs 2 medium drinks an 2 medium fries I would’ve been better taking my family out to eat. I give two stars because the fries were good but that was the only good thing. If you’re gonna charge restaurant prices it should atleast taste like it.

Idk why Penn Station doesn't have more stars. I was accidentally delivered Penn Station one time when I ordered Cracker Barrel. I was upset at first until I tried the subs. So delicious!! I've ordered there a few times since then and it's always so good. Everything is made fresh. The ladies helping me out weren't rude, but not super friendly. I assumed it was a manager helping me, because she was training a girl while I waited. I think being more friendly to the customers would be the only critic I have . Everything was delicious per usual! Favorite sub shop. Go eat there.

Since I've been in Tennessee I've enjoyed coming here but my visit recently left me on edge. I asked for a lemonade with no ice and was told by the cashier that her boss said that she couldn't sell me the drink with no ice in it. I said "excuse me." I just ordered $40 worth of food and you're telling me that I can't get a drink unless I put ice in it? Eventually, I got it with no ice, but I was so shocked by her saying that her boss told her this. I went with my son who just moved here with me to show off this spot that I had come to love, but I don't think we're going back.
