When we arrived was told there was a 20 minute wait. Host suggested we go to Tiki Hut/Bar for immediate service. Server took our drink order and we waited 15 minutes for drinks to arrive. Our food order consisted of one appetizer, one order of chicken wings and two side salads. This meal took a total of 2 hours due to extra slow service! We had to ask for napkins and utensils. We ask for plates so we could share our appetizer but told they don’t use plates out there. Multiple tables had their dogs with them. Side note…. staff members at a restaurant should not pet animals then serve food even when dining outside! Our server disappeared for a while. We had to flag her down if we needed anything. At one point as she was walking away from our table she said “sorry we’re busy”. To say that she was rude would be an understatement. Will not return. This isn’t the first time we’ve received mediocre food and poor service at this restaurant.

First, I’ll say our server was amazing tonight. The wait staff and servers were busy but they were working hard. I struggle to give a one star because Cody, who was working the host stand and I understand is the manager needs to find another career. We made a reservation a few days ago and modified it, I called earlier and let the lady I spoke with know we would have 10 or more. She said it was no issue because we had a reservation.Well, he did not want to honor that. He had a full lobby, people waiting for hours and tons of empty tables. He has no customer service skills and as someone who is a manager myself, he needs to speak and treat his staff like human beings not servants. We frequent this restaurant a lot but I am not sure we will be back due to the experience with Cody. No one deserves to be treated the way he was treating customers and employees.

I'm never disappointed at Calhoun's. Whatever I order is always good, the service is typically average or better, and the atmosphere by the river is splendid. The brisket sandwich was excellent this time.
We had 9 people eating tonight. 8 got served at one time and 1 had to wait 30 min for his pulled pork. So disappointing. Answer was they were under staffed. Then tried to get kids ice cream which we never received, so cancelled it. Very disappointing. Waitress was a sweet young lady, but the rest was not satisfactory.

What a wonderful place! I had the best buttermilk biscuit I've ever had in my life. I ordered the catfish and it was AMAZING! My Moscow mule was made perfectly. The building was really cool with boat docks for miles. I think they must really party hard here in the summer.The only thing I didn't like and was confused by were these little bird house looking boxes they had on their tiki deck. The boxes are clearly made to trap and kill bumble bees as they were half full with the bodies.Now I'm not from here and maybe they have a good reason to kill all these bumbles....but according to the Internet bumble bees are endangered and extremely important to the ecosystem around here. So that was weird. Great place though. I had a lovely time.Vegetarian options: They had baked potatoes, a bread basket, and salads.Parking: The parking lot is HUGE! If it's full that means there's a really long wait time. Worth the wait for the food.

An excellent place to have a meal with friends and/or family. Very beautiful scenery, right on the lake in Lenoir City. The selection of menu items is very good, the service is excellent and they have craft beers available as well.

Went there for lunch. They said all they had was buffet. I figured 25ish based on their menu and it was lunch. Had salad and some fruit. Cost 50 a plate.
