Great food, great service. The new chef and staff have brought new items to their menu. The restaurant is currently in a beautiful home that was converted to the Citico’s restaurant. I highly recommend for you to visit. Reid also does a great old fashion!

Nice atmosphere outside but the food quaility was poor and service was slow. The shrimp and grits was served cold and slightly warm in the center has if it was plated and sat a long time plus it lacked flavor. The salmon was over cooked. Their quality does not match their prices.

Service was very slow. We finished lMeal and dishes left on table in front of us for like 20 minutes. Food was not hot and just mediocre. Waited so long for desert, my friend kindly got it to go.

Wonderful place to eat! The food and drinks were very good - on par with other “nice” places (walnut kitchen, etc). The aspects that would bring us back are the atmosphere and staff. Since the restaurant is in a converted home, it’s a very unique and relaxed environment. We had an opportunity to walk around and explore the home after our meal - it was very neat. The wait staff, bartender and chef were phenomenal. Granted, we had an early reservation and not many folks were there yet, but the chef came out and spoke to us before and after the meal to ensure it was dialed into our tastes. As a heads up, they do add an automatic 22% gratuity which is clearly stated. Also, they are currently short-staffed, so they limit the number of reservations. (If folks are looking for a job, you may want to contact them!)

Quick Head’s Up for folks going to Citico’s.I saw a post from 5 months ago about a 22% service charge added to the bill. This was not inclusive of a tip so basically you would be adding anywhere from 37 to say 50% to your bill total.I thought this might have been during the height of Covid to make ends meet but upon calling Citico’s today it is still ongoing. There are many alternatives to pricing and food management than gouging customers who might dine there and be unaware of this existing policy.

Have been waiting nearly a week for a response to two 2 emails I sent regarding a poor experience during our first visit to this restaurant. Apparently they do not care and/or are not responsive to customers. Either is unacceptable. Avoid this place.

This is one amazing place located relatively close to Knoxville. For a most wonderful meal, great service, and the most beautiful surroundings, make your reservation for any type of special event or just to enjoy a delicious meal at Citico's Restaurant at WindRiver.

Atmosphere for romantic dining is the best. A bit too quiet for my taste. Best to go with a group. Food is above average but not as creatively Gourmet as it used to be. Expect to pay about $100 a plate with a decent bottle of wine.

***HIDDEN GEM*** wow! First of this place is a house on the lake. A really nice house on the lake with great views, and a bar set up downstairs that is just too cool. I heard there is a room down there that you can air bnb? So now to the food. My wife swears that its the best dinner she has ever had in knoxville the other couple in our party agreed. We caroused the menu, good shrimp app and tuna app. Lobster bisque was great. I had the shrimp and grits was awesome. The ladies had the prime rib past which was amazing and the Mediterranean seafood pasta which were both excellent and the other dish was the pork loin w apple chutney which stole the show. We finished with the cheesesteak and the lemon meringue pie. Cheesecake was good but the meringue was amazing. Oh and the old fashioned they made was awesome! Highly recommend, take your wallet.

This was hands down the worst dining experience I have ever had. I was shocked at how bad it was last night on Valentine’s Day. I have played in the member-guest tournament a few times at Windriver and Citico has always done an amazing job with the food. Come to find out the chef during those events Chef Robert is no longer with them. Makes sense as the quality of the food was very lacking. The service was the absolute worst though, we got the manager Patricia as our server for the night. Boy I would have taken either of the other two in a heartbeat. I’m not a drinker but I decided to get a cocktail last night, it was actually made very well and I wanted another. After half an hour of Patricia not coming to our table I decided against it. When we finally got our entrees my girlfriends was ice cold. We had watched another waiter bring our food to the wrong table and then return it to the kitchen to get the correct food for his table. Knowing the service was slow I looked down at my watch to time them, 13 minutes of sitting in the window the guy who was bussing tables finally brought us our food. He came back later to check on us and my girlfriend who never complains told him it was cold. They threw it in the microwave for a couple minutes and brought it back. She decided she didn’t want it after that and hardly took a bite out of it. They decided to comp half the cost of the entree to make up for it ?. I was in the service industry for a long time, expo, banquet waiter, server, general manager and I never complain but this experience was that awful. Do yourself a favor and if you’re going to pay for fine dining avoid this place and go to foothills milling, walnut kitchen, dancing bear, Kefi or Connor’s. There is no reason to pay for average to below average food and terrible service with all the great options in Knoxville. After footing the bill here we went to chilis because we were hungry. Yes…. Chilis with their microwaveable egg rolls and chicken outshined this restaurant. Not because of food quality itself (wasn’t to far behind to be honest) but service and getting a hot meal to our table.

It’s been a few years since we’ve been and looking at the reviews from 3-4 yrs ago vs recently, they are pretty accurate. Food was ok and priced accordingly until you got the 22% service charge added to all food and drinks. I asked our server about this and was informed this was a service charge set in place by the owner and was not the gratuity so by the time you pay all the fees it’s almost 50%. Don’t waste your time going here.
