Really enjoy this new restaurant in the woods. Really do our best as a family to shop and eat at the small mom and pop stores. Good hot food .Great service and of course that hometown country charm . Looking forward to coming back. Always to full to try the ice cream . Will have to come in and just have dessert ?. I made it point to be his first customer and I had the gravy biscuits and coffee I have been back several times since then for lunch and dinner I am yet do be disappointed the bird is outstanding and the service is great the owner came out was pleasant to us and asking if everything was all right and now they have started serving specialty coffee such as lattes cappuccinos and different types of coffee drinks I have tried one and it was delicious so yes I would highly recommend you giving these people a try and of course they'll always be some stop in and find something wrong but you want yourself at least give them a try some of the best pinto beans and cornbread I'll be eat

This was our first time going to this restaurant. I LOVE chicken livers and I'm super critical. These were AMAZING. Very affordable for our family and great service. Hannah was our waitress and she did a great job. My three year old daughter got a little coloring page and behaved well in the hometown feeling environment. We will be back soon!

First thing I would say the owner and the staff are friendly caring and kind to ALL their customers. THEY TRY TO MAKE EVERYONE FEEL SAFE AND WELCOME.
Even when they have customers that are NOT being respectable. I notice the staff will go out of their way by treating everyone like they would want to be treated, you know the (GOLDEN RULE). But as we ALL know we cannot make everyone happy, specially in this day and time. I have to give them thumbs up for making us feel safe, when others customers are being loud, rude and being very disrespectful. Not just to the staff and the customers. They will respectable be ask to leave.
I haven't been dispointed on anything I have ate at Home town. I have tired multiple dishes, chef salad with bake potato, grilled fish dinner plate, BLT or the bologna sandwich with fries. Also the meatloaf or the chicken dumpling dinner specials. The desserts are worth the extra calories. Specially the heated toffee cake with ice cream. The food hasn't been a disappointment at all. Don't take my word for it, take a drive down the road and try it out yourself, you be the judge.

I am leaving this review in response to recent bad review left by someone else. What she left out of her review was her behavior. She left out the part where she berated the 16 year old server for what she clearly states in her review was not the server's fault. When the owner saw his employee and was told by other employees how she had been treated, he informed the customers that he did not want customers who treated his employees that way and that they should leave. Personally, I applaud him as that was MY 16 year old who was talked to like garbage. She loves her job because her boss takes good care of his employees. He values people over money. He closes for staff weddings and for funerals because he treats his employees like family. So, while there may have been issues with that person's visit, she left out her own bad behavior that prompted the owner to tell her to leave. Other customers that night approached my daughter and apologized for how she was treated and thanked the owner for standing up for her. So, before you let one review influence you, make sure you know everything that happened.

Gave this place a 2nd chance, it was definitely the last time I will ever stop and I will make sure that all my friends & family avoid this place as well. If I could give this place a negative star rating, I would. Server was sweet and nothing that happened was her fault. The owner however needs a reality check on how to treat customers. He was very confrontational and extremely rude. We placed an order for an appetizer and 2 meals. After 10 minutes, I noticed a plate being put in the pickup window and no one moving to take it to one of the 4 occupied tables, after 20 minutes our appetizer was brought out and we questioned about the plate still sitting in the windows under a heat lamp and was told it was part of our food. She explained that they weren't supposed to bring out partial orders. I told her they could just take that off my bill because I was not going to eat food that had been sitting out in the open under a heat lamp (it was a hamburger steak that included cole slaw) for over 20 minutes. The other part of my party requested their food to be done as a to go order. The owner came out and instead of asking how they could fix things, he confronted us with a "What do you want?" The other part of my party said to get a little more organized and start cooking the longest item before the quickest...the owner, who had spent almost the entire time we had been there sitting and talking to a customer, said there's the door. We were going to leave a tip for the server because nothing that happened was her fault, and we were told by the owner, "We don't want anything from you" the tip wasn't for him, it was for the employee who had done what she could and was obviously working for someone very unpleasant. This "locally owned small business" should NOT be called a restaurant but should be a "club" for the owners friends since it appears (now for the 2nd time) that if you don't know them or have a connection to them, will get the worst end of the service. I have lived in the area for over 50 years and can say this is definitely a "Good Old Boys" club who's motto should be "if we don't know you or your family, you ain't welcome here".

My husband and I just tried this cute little diner in Luttrell, TN. It is very cozy but open so you aren't too crowded. The service was welcoming and our server, Kailey ( I hope I spelled her name right), was just darling and so attentive. I had the pot roast with mashed potatoes and green beans. The roast just melted in my mouth and I ate everything even though it was a large serving. My husband had the club sandwich and he says it was one of the best he's had. That is his go to order so he knows his club sandwiches. I wish I'd had my phone with me to take pictures but I will next time. We plan on trying breakfast next time!
