Very good BBQ pork. A great place to settle in and watch the locals. Very comfortable atmosphere. Great location too being so close to the distillery!
loved it! We were in Lynchburg and wanted to grab dinner before we left. This was the closest open restaurant to our location. They really know how to handle their meats! So good that my kid voluntarily ate pulled pork for the first time in his life. As soon as we walked in, I knew it was going to be awesome. You don't get that kind of decor for nothin! <3
Staff was polite and the food was out in a flash. Interesting motif. My daughter and I went there to try the grilled cheese on Crack which did not disappoint. Before leaving my daughter opted for a banana pudding which she loved. Definitely would stop by again next time we are in town.
Grilled cheese on crack !! Amazing !!!
Small place. Quick friendly service. Good food. Great start or finish to the distillery tour Walking siatance to stores and distillery.
Service and food was great. My husband still is saying what a great burger he got! I had the pulled pork grilled cheese sandwich it was great.
If you're not white you're not welcomed here. You'll be ignored by the waitress until you kindly ask for service, she just will say, "oh, I didn't see you", Unbelievable, you become invisible in this place, even if it's not packed. After taking the order, everybody's food it's ready in no more than five minutes, but for non-whites, fifteen minutes or more, just like that. You let the restaurant know the situation and not even an apology, whatsoever. The message it's clear, non-whites are not welcome in Lynchburg, they just don't want you there, neither your money, (when going to other places outside of Jack Daniels tour it's pretty much the same), it's unfortunate, sad. I would never recommend any non-whites (friends, neighbors, etc.) to go to the Jack Daniels tour in Lynchburg. The restaurant can say whatever to this review, it looks they've been in business for years, they know what they're doing.
After a poor experience at Jack Daniels, we thought that we would get a barbeque sandwich at the Barrel House. You can expect a small place that could use some cleaning and decorating. Not quaint at all! Typical small town average vibe. On the bright side I did like my pulled pork sandwich. Nothing exceptional here, although my sandwich was quite big. A big "MEH" for this place!
Small place. One that you might call a whole in the wall. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food came out quick and it was awesome. Prices were competitive with other places we had visited. Tried the mild BBQ sauce. Loved it. Could taste the whiskey flavor. Hubby tried and middle one and said it was good and even more whiskey flavor. Neither one of us was brave enough to try the ghost one. Would have purchased some but they only had the mild flavor to buy.
Very quirky place, but the food is AMAZING!! Highly recommend. Many choices with generous portions and great prices . Waitstaff is as friendly as you’d expect in the South.

We enjoyed lunch after the Jack Daniels distillery tour. Very busy spot but service was quick and friendly. Food was delicious!
We have been in person a few times and most recently we ordered from Door dash. The food was amazing. The toast was still crunchy (in a good way) when we got it. my husband said the collard greens were the best he had gotten from anywhere since moving to TN. The ribs, and pulled chicken were amazing. My favorite was the brisket! definitely a great meal. Can't wait to order again.
Recommend to us by our tour bus driver this little dive did not disappoint….. The grilled cheese on crack was AWESOME with its melt in your mouth pulled pork. The pulled pork sandwich was also melt in your mouth with three BBQ house made sauces, mild, medium and hot. Gives new meaning to your tongue will slap your brains out!!!!!! Sweet Potato casserole was a nice treat at the end… The staff was quick to get us in and fed in the small dining area.
The food was amazing, atmosphere was unique, and service was friendly and attentive! The Crack Jack sandwich was unique and delicious with super tender pulled pork on a grilled cheese! My husband loved his chicken jack as well! We will definitely be back if we are in TN again!
The restaurant was hot and the ribs were dry and very tough. We were very disappointed. Based on the reviews, we expected more.
