I am from Florida and searched from each town locally from where we are staying in Riceville to find that true southern cooking that makes you remember your family that is gone. This was THE place for my little family! We went 3 times in 1 week it was that good to where we didn't want to try out anything new after a lot of disappointment. They treat you like family and the food is so good and reasonably priced as well! We try to come as much as we can to TN and it will now be a part of our plans to come back to Donna's whether we are here for a weekend or 2 weeks.

Nice looking place, limited parking, most of the customers appeared to do the buffet breakfast available. Two of us ordered from the menu and it took a long time to get our food. The food was ok except my wife's avocado toast was soggy. It appeared to be sitting too long before we were served. The rest of the food was good but not great.
The menu showed the buffet meal was $11.99 but I was charged $12.48. I didn't question it because we didn't want to wait to fix it.
We found Donnas to have mediocre service and a little more expensive then breakfast places elsewhere.
We were not impressed.

Went for the Thanksgiving buffet. Was expecting real sliced turkey with skin. What was served was GRATED turkey swimming in gravy! I don’t like gravy on my turkey and who ever heard of grated turkey? Was it even turkey or some extruded fake meat? The stuffing was over cooked dry and just not good. Canned beans with no flavor, watered down mac and cheese, the sweet potatoes were alright. This was my first and last time here. If I paid you to cater my Thanksgiving dinner and you showed up with grated or extruded nasty turkey in gravy I would have sent you back to where you came from. Dessert was bad too. I guess there are no decent restaurants in Madisonville. This cost me twenty seven dollars! What a waste of time and money! Do better please.

It's a old restaurant that has been a drug store a 1 time. Donna has put money and time into this place of hers.
Fix the upstairs to have Special events.
It's a place worth checking out.
