I always try bbq at different places.in whatever state I’m in.Today I went to Praters in Manchester. I ordered the brisket plate and ordered 1/2 lb pulled pork additionaly .This was the worst brisket and pork I have ever had.I told the waitress.she was very nice.Not that I expected her to , but she took $10 off my $23 total. I boxed it up to bring home to my Great Danes, but then thought I didn’t want them to get sick so I left it there.NOT TENNESSEE BBQ

I simply wanted a quick snack before a job in Manchester. I happened to see this little dive BBQ.I walked in and its really BIG. Nice clean country atmosphere, sat at the bar. I had no idea whats good. Waitress said prime rib sandwich..YES. with absolutely the best tasting potato salad ever. ( sorry mom)

Ribs were the only bbq that was ok. On sampler platter smoked wings were dry, brisket was dry and tasteless, bbq pork was not good. Potato salad was pretty good. Bingo was nice and service was decent. Would not return.

We have visited this location on many occasions, the staff is typically fast, responsive, and very polite.The my husband loves the ribs, they're fall off the bone tender and not the least bit dry. The sauces for pulled pork and ribs are decent. There is ample sauce provided with the product at no extra charge.There is a subtle smokiness yo the meat, which I appreciate versus a super smokey taste.My husband has tried a couple different sides here and they didn't really stand out, so this spot is a go to for meats for us.The atmosphere here is really great, there is often live music and a lot of lively people, making the environment a very fun place to be. Even when there's no entertainment, the establishment is kept clean, with nice decor, ample space between tables, and the friendly accommodating staff, which provides for a better overall experience, in my opinion.The price of the food matches the quality and quantity of the food, as well as the atmosphere. We typically have plenty of food leftover, even if we've just ordered a sandwich or ribs. Prater's doesn't skimp out on meat or fixin's.Would recommend for locals or travelers to give it a try! Prater's will show you hospitality and make you feel welcome.
