“Blake's is the best. Every time I drive from Nashville to our farm in Rives, I have to have my Blake's fix. He smokes the best brisket ever! I mixed it up the other night and ordered the nachos with brisket. I was a little disappointed with the lack of brisket and too many jalapeños and pickled onions. I will stick with the plates and sandwiches from here on. Don't pass on his smoked cream cheese nor his fantastic pimento cheese.“

Street Tacos Al Pastor Y Lengua

“Hands down the best taco experience I've ever had in Martin. I got the pork street tacos, and it was like BBQ on a taco, juicy, tender, flavorful. My wife had a chicken and cheese quesadilla and liked it. I didn't ask for tortilla chips bit they were included in our bag, along with 4 different salsas, all of which were delicious, particularly the guacamole. We're both full (I have leftovers), and it was only about $24. Totally worth it, and we will go back - probably frequently.“

“Popped by here while making a turn through my alma mater during a trip out on Reelfoot lake. I grabbed a pound of pork for lakeside sandwiches which was great! Nice balance of smoke. Would love to come back and try her brisket. Double bonus that there was an ice and water vending machine which is was what got me to pull in to start with to restock the cooler. Come for the ice, stay for the barbecue“

Beef Brisket Sandwich

“June 2022: Not the first time I’ve enjoyed BBQ from Blake, just the first time in his new digs Blake’s At Southern Milling. The renovations done here are incredible and the décor is impressive, LOVED the etched glass behind the bar and the upstairs is beautiful. Sat at the bar and Avery took excellent care of me, got me something to drink, and put in my order for the Run of the Mill platter. Everything…and I mean everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. Blake’s Texas training pedigree for smoking meats is evident in what he serves. The brisket has a nice pepper to the bark and great smoke, the pulled pork is moist and tender without being mushy, the medallions of smoked turkey are at that perfect point of moist but firm, and the ribs just fall off the bone. They crumble the seasoned crackers onto the Mac \\u0026 Cheese…excellent use of existing and new, and of course the pimento cheese is the bomb!!! I did try the Lemon Blueberry Cobbler with Honey Lemon sauce and it was gone after the first bite…no pictures available…LOL I love desserts that have great flavor but are not overly sweet and this was a great balance between the two. Congratulations Blake on your new place…impressive!!! May 2021: I’ve been following Blake’s BBQ in Martin, TN for over a year now, so I made the 3-hour trek out there. The menu has all of the “standards” when you come to a BBQ place like this and they were kind enough to put together a sampler platter. The meat selection was General Tso Glazed Pork Ribs, Regular Pork Ribs, Pulled Pork, Brisket, and Smoked Turkey. For sides went with the Potato Salad, Deviled Eggs, Cole Slaw, and Pimento Cheese w/crackers (this is a MUST HAVE side item). I am extremely impressed with the quality and flavors of the meats served. Seriously…everything was perfectly prepared, lightly seasoned, and served moist and tender. You experienced just the right amount of smoke flavor and the seasoning on all of the meats, like the slight heat experienced on the General Tso ribs. Pulled pork is not normally a favorite of mine, but this was the best I have ever tasted. The brisket was tender and the peppered bark heat really made a difference. The variety of sauces were a great compliment to the meats and ranged from sweet to spicy. When it comes to sides, Blake hits the mark with everything selected. The potato salad had a hint of ranch in it, the slaw was very different and loved the sweetness. The homemade pimento cheese with smoked/seasoned saltine crackers…INCREDIBLE!!! Blake and the ladies in the trailer took great care of me and made me feel welcome. I’ve enjoyed dining at some of the best BBQ places in Texas, and Blake’s BBQ is well worth the drive to experience some exceptional BBQ talent and great food.“
