Shoney's - Maryville

First of all, our waitress was outstanding with service and that's why I give 2 stars!
Overall about the food, I agree with the others, in recent months, that stated the food was either overcooked to undercooked!
Having moved here and remembering the Shoney's where we lived originally, seafood night here, in comparison, failed in all aspects!
Almost all fried!
Shrimp were either cut in half or flattened to pancakes and fried, mostly batter! Ribs, though looked good, were undercooked and the fish was overcooked, dried out and recommend doing away with the calamari! Was like chewing leather and I'll add the steak too!
I've had breakfast here before and food was acceptable, but after that time of day, nope!

Your #1 spot for tan food.

Food quality is lacking. Nothing is ever salted or seasoned. Eggs are bland, bacon is always sitting in a pool of grease in the pans, the sausage gravy doesn’t taste good . No hard boiled eggs on salad bar. The hot fudge for the ice cream tasted burnt like it sat in the container all day cooking.

Great breakfast. Great catfish!

Great place for an all you can eat buffet. Could be a couple dollars cheaper but overall a great place. Staff is fantastic as well as the food.

I just wanted to thank server Ashley for coming to work, all coughing everywhere and snotty, so that she spreads her sickness around and I'd like to thank Shoneys for leaving her to choose between staying home sick/not paying her bills or showing up and quite literally risking others lives (the flu and such can absolutely kill someone who is immunocompromised). I now have a fever of 102, thanks so much!

I must say, to use a term that Tony the Tiger would say; GREATTTTT!!
I know that Shoneys Is know as the Big BOY diner but the evening food bar would have pleased Tony The Tiger in a Big way, this location dinner food was super and it also had a complete breakfast meal available as well and it was also " all you can eat"... which was very temping but I chose to stay with the dinner choices of Chicken; Fish; country streak; and such. I ate my fill of all of those items and EVERYTHING I TRIED TASTED GREATTTT, I WAS HAVING TROUBLE DECIDING WHICH ITEM WAS OVERALL THE BEST EVEN AFTER TWO SAMPLES OF ALL THE CHOICES. IT WAS A GREAT PROBLEM TO HAVE. SO I DECIDED I COULD NOT MAKE A CHOICE WHICH ONE WAS BEST. MAYBE YOU SHOULD GO AND TRY EACH FOR YOURSELF AND SEE WHICH IS BEST FOR YOUR TASTE BUDS BECAUSE MINE KEPT SAYING THEY ARE ALL

I will certainly have to return again to enjoy this GREAtttt Food taste and did I mention selection. I did not even make it to a fourth of the possible food choices .
In addition to the GREATTTT food the food bar was very well maintained, clean, and the service was super fine at the table and the food bar. The staff are very experienced and it shows.
They even gave my wife and I a senior discount.
So what a GREATTTT MEAL DEAL AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE.

We went for the buffet bar,and the manager on duty( Courtney Cook) had the most fresh bar I had ever seen everything looked amazing. She sat us and. Brought us our drinks and was very helpful.
