We had the most wonderful experience celebrating a birthday dinner here! From the moment we sat down, Julian took fantastic care of our party of four. He was attentive, friendly, and really made us feel special. We even had the chance to visit with Executive Chef Jason, and owner Nick DiBartolomeo stopped by our table to chat for a few minutes, which made the evening feel extra personal.
The food was outstanding, with portions that left no one hungry. My husband ordered the Tomahawk Ribeye, and its delivery was quite the showstopper. The steak itself was absolute perfection. Our table also enjoyed the short ribs and the blackened mountain trout, both of which were exceptional.
From service to atmosphere to the quality of the food, to the attention to all the small details, everything exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this spot for any special occasion or really any time you want an amazing meal!

We stopped in for an early dinner at The Walnut Kitchen and wow. The atmosphere, decor, and food were all on point (especially the bao!). Big thanks to Jude for the great service and Chef Mike for making it extra special.

The Absolute Best Elk steak and the chicken cordon blue is Hands down the Best i ever had.. Will not Disappoint..
Over priced, low quality and quantity. Waited well over an hour for chicken tenders, salad, and a hamburger. They refused to let 2 small children share chicken tenders and charged us for 2 meals afterwards. Then when we get the salad an hour later, they say they can’t grill chicken which is on their own menu. The server made sure to let us know multiple times how bad of a mood the chef was in. But don’t worry, they give you a complimentary burnt cinnamon roll for being mediocre. Also, their Sunday menu is different than what they display online.
The Apple Mule and Old Fashioned drinks were amazing. The honey drizzled fritters with the chipotle ranch were delicious. My entree of steak & frites highly recommend. Tender cuts of flat iron steak topped with a chimichurri sauce. I had enough steak left over to make steak and eggs with for breakfast. Can’t wait to go back again.
One of the best meals i’ve had ANYWHERE! Fantastic food, great customer service, refreshing drinks. Doesn’t get any better! Their New york strip, filet, pork chop, and chicken lollipops are a few favorites. Delicious!!!!
Perfection... Every visit exceeds the last! We had a lovely quiet room and Jason was superb and attentive to every need of each of our guests! Walnut Kitchen is the best spot in town!!

Our first time visiting this restaurant and we were very pressed with the overall experience. Our server was great and the entrees and dessert selections we tried were equally enjoyable. We had a group of six people and we made reservations a couple weeks earlier and the have us a private room. The evening was a big success celebrating a retirement party. I would deffinetly recommend giving this establishment a try

We stopped by Walnut Kitchen for the first time, and it’s got that true Southern charm. The Coffee Elk steak and the Tennessee burger are absolutely worth the trip. The rustic interior, paired with those classic red brick walls, really sets the vibe.

The staff, including the chefs, were extremely accommodating, and professional. However, the food was mediocre—resembled a cafeteria flavor rather than upscale dining. Other than the meat, everything in my dish had vinegar or sugar in it. The medium steak we ordered was rare. There was absolutely no seasoning. We rarely eat out so when we do we want a good meal, but this was lacking. The dishes looked nothing like what was on the menu, and in one of our dishes there was only a spoonful of one of the main ingredients. You can’t hide bad cooking/recipes with sugar or vinegar.

I was fully prepared to pay the high prices for great food but ended up only paying the high prices for mediocre food. The atmosphere is nothing special. The cocktails were decent and the server was pleasant but did not make up for the flavorless, overcooked food. So many other better restaurants out there for a lot less money. Unfortunately, my hopes were high but will not be returning.
