Unfortunately the food was trash. If you are saying you are a chicago place you should make sure the food you are claiming to be "authentic " is even in the ballpark. The cheese curds were good the so called Italian beef was garbage. I lived in chicago for 50 years and have eaten more Italian beef than I should have, and this place doesn't serve anything even close. If you read their description on the sandwich you would see it isn't one. The only thing they got right was the mozzarella cheese. You don't put onions on it or the green peppers you are trying to pass as sweet peppers. The giardiniera was closer to coleslaw. The sandwich is a cross between a french dip and garbage. Dont claim it to be an Italian beef please

Every year when we go to ghe smokes, we stop here to ear. Good food reasonable priced.
Everything was decent. We got fried mushrooms to start and they were really good. The only thing I could complain about would be the time to get our food after we ordered was a bit long. Also, my friend ordered a patty melt with lettuce, tomato, pickle - but instead of that stuff being ON the sandwich, it was on top of the sandwich, and of course the sandwich was too sticky to pull apart to put the things on it.., so that was weird, but other than that not really any complaints. Server was good.

After driving 10 hours with multiple delays, only to find our rental wasnt ready, we stumbled into this little gem hangry and exhausted. The food and service was on point. Our waiter listened to us and offered a cold beer, made suggestions and was incredibly sweet. The food- AMAZING. Get the Italian beef or sausage for comfort food at its finest. Gooey melted cheese, peppers and Chicago beef…wow. Excellent food, friendly staff and a fun atmosphere. Can’t wait to be regulars here!

We had a wonderful first visit to Windy City Grille! Our waiter was so friendly and on top of it, fun, casual atmosphere, and food was good! Wish we could have gotten our waiter's name (may have been on our receipt), but big kudos to him for doing a great job! We'll be back in the future for 6 more potatoes 🤣😉
