Great service and cute, cozy setup on the inside! I ordered the pea stew with two sides, spicy lentils and yellow split peas. I would create a combo a la carte if visiting again. For the pea stew, I envisioned a different dish for pea stew. It is much like Shiro I've had at other Ethiopian restaurants but with extra onions. I definitely plan to come back to try more items on the menu. Overall the flavor and spice of the dishes was very good and the plating beautiful! Updated...
The owner of the restaurant was very welcoming, and the food turned out to be surprisingly good. The flavors were pleasantly sour with a touch of spiciness, which tasted great. The only drawback was that the smoke alarm went off twice during our lunch—it was extremely loud and lasted for quite a while.
I quickly found this place through Google after two failed attempts at trying other food on Madison (memphis jamaican kitchen & pyros pizza failed miserably).

It's been almost a decade since I had Ethiopian food in kcmo, but I remembered liking it so I gave this place a shot.
