Excellent food and service. Delicious fried green tomatoes! Biscuits tasted healthy and homemade. Alcenia’s tomato sauce was perfect for the biscuits. The ambiance of the restaurant was very pleasant, bright and clean. Probably our best meal on a cisit to Memphis.
We found Alcenia’s while at St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital just browsing the map for a nearby eatery. The owner herself —such a sweet lady— greeted us and gave us a much welcomed hug. We knew right then and there that we were in good hands. The place was packed so the food took some time to arrive, but I can promise it was worth the wait. Not only was it delicious, it was very comforting and left a long-standing great impression of this place and my first time in Memphis...
In the area for a work trip and stopped in here with a group of us. Food was amazing and atmosphere just as good. You're gonna feel like family here and leave with a full stomach! If I'm ever in the area again this is a must stop place for me.
