Alex's Tavern might be my favorite place to watch sports. It's the place to go for the NCAA Tournament when you have games for hours the first weekend. Must try the Greek Burger and the Wings! Also they've got shuffleboard - so good.
We didn't know what to think when we pulled in, but we were pleasantly surprised to find a historic, homey, friendly bar with liquor setups. Our bartender wynn (spelling?) was kind and informative. The owner, rocky, was likewise hospitable.

If you’ve been to Alex’s, you know the atmosphere is awesome. The food is great but pretty expensive for a dive bar. If you go, get the wings, Greek burger, and gumbo. The service is hit or miss. Last time we went, the bartender was so enamored with talking with two guys at the bar, he seemed to forget he had 7 tables waiting to give him an order lol. He seemed more concerned with chilling with his buds than doing his job.
