The music was not so much like Sinatra but it was fairly good.

Our business group enjoyed a family style meal. We had the focaccia, charcuterie, and oysters as appetizers. We ordered five pasta dishes and the chicken entrée as mains. For dessert, we ordered several chocolate, sticky toffee puddings, tiramisu, and lattes. I personally thought the focaccia was out of this world! And the gnocchi and the chicken were my favorite main dishes. Unfortunately, the sticky toffee pudding I was looking forward to was dry but my colleagues enjoyed the tiramisu and lattes. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal. Despite being good, I do believe the chicken entree at $35 was overpriced. The most disappointing part was that I could not add a protein to any of the pasta dishes for a reasonable up-charge. The server said that if I wanted to add chicken to the $19 gnocchi dish, they would charge me $35 for the dish! What restaurant does that?!

I cannot brag enough on their wait staff and the quality of most of their food. While the portions are small, the experience is worth every penny. Get the sticky toffee pudding with gelato... seriously...I mean it.

Hello, all!
I'm Anthony. Today is the day before my 36th birthday and I chose to dine at AMIK (Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen) for my birthday eve dinner with my dad. We had a wonderful experience, as I have personally since it opened on 31 Oct 2008. This evening, I was personally attended to by the General Manager, Josh W., as well as the Assistant General Manager, Joey D. Our server was Tabitha N. All of these persons were fantastic and provided exquisite service. The food was innovate and delicious as it has been for years. This is my favorite restaurant in all of Memphis. It has been for years, and nights like tonight remind me of exactly why it is. 10 / 10 recommend. Best in food, service, hospitality, ambience, and experience. -- AMJM

Andy and Michael’s restaurants have been some of our favorites. Unfortunately our visit tonight didn’t live up to expectations. My wife and I went to WTF to celebrate our 9th anniversary. My third dish (pasta) had a centipede in it. We’re there to enjoy our time together and not create a scene so we politely sent it back. Other than an apology and bringing me a new pasta nothing else was done. For an establishment that has as high of standards as A/M I would’ve expected more from the staff to make this right other than telling us the foraged morels were shipped in from California. Not even a dollar was taken off our more than $300 bill. Unfortunately, we’ll likely not be back.

The food was good.
The service was very very bad.
The server basicly was not there, zero care about us. I had empty cup for a while. Appetizers was ordered and than he disappeared and even when we let other employees know that we want to order more its took him a very long time to come to us. This is not what is expected from this restaurant.
I was also very disappointed with the shift manager (I guess he was the managar, blue button down shirt running all around). I seen him walking around from the kitchen to the bar, bring ice, opening bottles etc.. He forgot that he's main job is to make sure he's customers will be taken care of.
I like good restaurants, and I go to a lot of places. The managers always go around the tables to talk with the diners to make sure they taken care off. But If you got to a point that out of the 20 people you have you need to be one that dealing with the ice than there is a big fundamental problem there.
Regarding the atmosphere, no one like to sit in a dark room, with dark walls and eat dinner under a dimmed low light. People want to be able to see their food.
Bathroom ceiling was never cleaned I think in 12 years.
They have amazing outdoor area to sit which was closed. In my opinion, having people to sit outside in the evening will give them way better experience than sitting in a dark room.
I belive this place can be great, and I want to revisit this place in the future hoping it will be better.
Meanwhile there are far better options in Memphis for fine dining than this establishment.

Big, big fan of this place. It’s an intimate, dim-lit setting and the food was delicious. Our server was knowledgeable of the gluten free options and how to accommodate certain menu items. I loved this whole experience. Also, this dessert was the bomb.

Amazing food and amazing atmosphere. The tuna tartare is phenomenal
Had many gluten free options available! They can substitute almost all of the pasta noodles with gluten-free and had many other menu items that were either already gluten-free or they could make them gluten-free easily
