Overall the food was very good! We both had the ribs and sides. The service was ok, but didn’t even ask if either of us wanted dessert, just brought the check, so we asked for dessert and split a cheese cake, which was also good. The problem was when the check came! The menu stated ALL checks would be automatically added with a 20% gratuity, ok fine, I get it, BUT in actuality it was 21.95% gratuity added then taxed on top of it. I’ve always tipped 20% and more if you’re good but never have I seen it all taxed as well. Would not return just because we feel they are trying to pull one over on ya… Oh and the first bill came said 29% gratuity, when questioned she said oh sorry let me fix that, HOW many others has this happened to we wondered???? As well as let’s just include a couple side choices to go with the meals but up charge $2.50 for anything else. Most expensive dinner out so far with least amount out food, and that was without any alcoholic beverages.

We always like to find hidden gems wherever we go and it’s even better for this KC guy if the hidden gem is BBQ. Memphis BBQ is all about the ribs and the rub that goes on them. At Arnold’s their ribs are some of the most tender, juiciest, flavorful ribs I have had the pleasure of eating. With notes of sweet from the rub and savory from the wood it’s brings a smile just thinking about it. If you add their potato salad and baked beans and the meal is complete. Their pulled pork is just out of this world juicy with just enough spice to make your taste buds happy. We got there early and talked to the owner who was super friendly and was proud of the food she had created as she should be. I know Memphis is home to a lot of bbq places but you won’t be disappointed if you make your way here. Kid friendly not really a kids menu but they have options. $$

This place is awesome. Traveling through Memphis and had to get authentic Memphis BBQ. Food was great, service was top notch!! Great atmosphere. Jo Jo was so nice and helpful!! We will go back next time in this area!

I have driven past the Arnold's BBQ location on Shelby Drive and Ross Road a number of times. Today being hungry and in the area, I stopped in and placed an order for a rib dinner. The rib dinner came with beans, cole slaw, and a roll. NO SUBSTITUTES allowed. During the 20 minutes that it took for the food to be prepared,, i couldn't help but to read all of the signs posted around the restaurant establishment, ie...for example, "Check your food before leaving,, no refunds."Finally my takeout order came up, or was walked out to me in the dinning room.. the bag felt warm,, and i assumed it was right since it took so long. I was too rushed or late for my next client meeting to think about opening the bag and checking behind a business when i was already the only customer in the building..I arrived at my destination, opened the to-go box and looked at the heavy amount of sauce in the container. I couldn't even see the ribs. But with the one plastic fork that was included in the bag, I struggled to tare a piece of meat from the bone. I have had yesterday's food served to me from a restaurant before, but never before now have I have what appeared and tasted like two-day old food served to me, with no option of returning it or to voice my opinion or concerns.Today i found out why I have always driven past the place, but will never go there again.

Food was good and overall it was a great place to stop in. Had the pulled pork platter and banana pudding for dessert. Our waitress was very nice and talked to our daughter about Disney princesses.

Came in to order some food and the young lady was just sitting there texting and never got up I stood there for 5 minutes when I realized she wasn't going to move. I decided to leave. If this how they treat customers I will not be back. VERY POOR SERVICE
