Came across this place walking my dog while on vacation. The smell coming from this place was amazing. Went to Rendezvous the night before and were disappointed. Decided on our last night to try out Bains as it was right around the corner. Meet the owner while there. They were AMAZING. Very personable. And the food was mouth watering delicious. The ribs and brisket were the best bbq I’ve ever had! Their homemade bbq sauces are so good we bought some to bring back home. 100/10!! Would visit Memphis again just for Bains.

Best brisket in memphis. I got brisket nachos along with baked beans today and they were delicious. I've had their turkey, burgers, Texas twinkies and pork. I've never had a complaint. They're in an old midtown home with a patio. It's a great casual spot for lunch.

Sorry for the late review lol I went back in April and forgot until now when I want some and they’re close 😂. I had the pull pork plate, with macaroni and cheese and baked beans. Also had a Texas Twinkie 🤤. The food was amazing it shows in the pictures 😂

We did a small day trip into Memphis from Little Rock and were looking for a spot for lunch and decided to try this place. We walked in and talked to the people behind the counter and basically said “what should we eat?” They recommended a few options and we went with the sausage, chopped beef, ribs (of course) and smoked turkey and mannnnn, I cannot get over how delicious everything was. And the atmosphere was so nice and the staff were great! I will definitely recommend this place and come back anytime I’m in town!
Me and husband was searching for great authentic bbq and omg this restaurant hands down did not disappoint. I would give 10 stars. Smoke flavor and falling off the bone ribs, brisket meat was delicious 🤤 omg turkey was soft and light. My husband tried the Texas Twinkie jalapeño was Amazing. Atmosphere was wonderful with the waitress and she even gave us a sample before ordering. It was our first time but definitely won’t be the last my tip was not enough. Thanks Bain BBQ

This place should be on Memphis' "Best of Memphis" list! The brisket is consistently tender, moist, and flavorful. If you want a true treat, get a Texas Twinkie (but get there early- they fo sell out)!

Had the Memphian sandwich washed down with an ice cold beer. This was the best Bar b Que sandwich hands down. The workers outside, in the kitchen and up front were extremely friendly, warm and inviting. My family usually eats here at least once a week traveling an hour away. Well worth the drive. Try this place! I promise you will NOT REGRET IT!!!! Thanks and great job guys! Everything was wonderful!

Food tastes good but the portion is absurdly small. I ordered the 2 meat plate that starts out at $24 and chose brisket for both meats, which was a $6 up charge bringing the total to $30. The problem is I only received 2 slices of brisket. I included a picture so others can see the portion size. Just 2 slices of brisket for a DOUBLE brisket 2 meat plate. That’s over $10 per slice of brisket. If I had ordered the 1 meat plate would it have just been one single slice for $19? On the bright side, the sausages are really good and adequately sized. Not sure if I’ll be returning though simply because of how insanely small the brisket portion is.
