The food was really good! I had the curry stew and loved it. It was spicy but very flavorful. Portions are generous and I took leftovers with me l, also good the next day. My husband had the whole red snapper and said it was one of the best fish dishes he'd ever had. The service was so friendly (I think it was the owner and he gave us samples). The juices were also delicious. Excellent value 👏

I ask for lamb chops. The picture is what I received. It were bones and fat neat. It was seasoned, for to go into there stew looking item. I was given the scraps but no $25.00 lamb chops. When I took it back, he kept $10.00 due to I left the sides at home. We did not eat any of the food. We threw the sides away the next day .we would have wasted another $10.00 taking them back. It appeared he need the $10.00 more than he need a return customer

No for real, I haven’t even finished my plate yet and I had to make sure I put this review in. The food is BOMB!!!!!! And it’s buffet style so you can try a lot of different things. They also have a kitchen menu too. The service was amazing, so sweet. But the food!!!!! Chef’s kiss

First time in Memphis. I’ve been dying to try Egusi soup and fufu. Unfortunately I have no local African restaurants near my hometown, so when I needed to DoorDash dinner one night to my hotel I took the opportunity and ordered. It was FANTASTIC. I’m sad I don’t live in Memphis or I’d be ordering dinner from Bala’s all the time!
