I ask for lamb chops. The picture is what I received. It were bones and fat neat. It was seasoned, for to go into there stew looking item. I was given the scraps but no $25.00 lamb chops. When I took it back, he kept $10.00 due to I left the sides at home. We did not eat any of the food. We threw the sides away the next day .we would have wasted another $10.00 taking them back. It appeared he need the $10.00 more than he need a return customer

No for real, I haven’t even finished my plate yet and I had to make sure I put this review in. The food is BOMB!!!!!! And it’s buffet style so you can try a lot of different things. They also have a kitchen menu too. The service was amazing, so sweet. But the food!!!!! Chef’s kiss

First time in Memphis. I’ve been dying to try Egusi soup and fufu. Unfortunately I have no local African restaurants near my hometown, so when I needed to DoorDash dinner one night to my hotel I took the opportunity and ordered. It was FANTASTIC. I’m sad I don’t live in Memphis or I’d be ordering dinner from Bala’s all the time!

Food was great, cashier was very nice. I order leg quarters and rice on the lunch plate. Was a little over 30 bucks. Very pricey for what you get.
AMAZING vegan/vegetarian spot! I had the vegan peppered curry, fried sweet plantains, and jollof rice. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. It was my first time trying it and this will definitely be my first stop next time I’m in Memphis. Highly recommend to anyone, vegan or not!

Aaaa it is a good location, I was recommended from a business down the street I had asked them about Jamaican Restaurants in the area and they suggested this African Restaurant and of course I had some African food before and I enjoyed it. But the Egusi here No, even the Macaroni Cheese is Not good taste spoiled to me, I was curious to taste and he put way too much in my container it was my first visit and I had a hard time choosing so the lady did put some of the items on a plate to try, I still couldn’t decide nothing stood out to me it tasted a lot different from the food I had before and not in a good way so as I stood trying to decide and see what others were ordering They begin to rush me keep asking am I ready to order it wasn’t no line and not a long wait. I’m new to the area I don’t know if I will go back the price was way too high for me it wasn’t worth $27 they do it by weight and I asked for small portion he put big scoops knowing I was having a hard time trying to decide. If you’re into trying new food and throwing away money this maybe the spot to try. One thing I did like was the hot sauce it’s a very small container but it’s very hot.
