Small coffee shop, I had a pour over coffee. This is the sort of place that you can discuss the nuance of a coffee as you order. Happy to learn the bread and muffin on display are vegan. The bread was excellent. They are across the street from my gym so very convenient. Had great conversation with other customers. The vibe is friendly and welcoming. My barista was the roaster of 'Rigby Roastery' so check out that web page, absolutely a walking encyclopedia of coffee knowledge. Not kidding, actually taught classes, had a shop in Austin. Rigby Roastery 'pop up' is there on Saturdays 9am-230p. I have been looking for this sort of coffee shop experience for some time. Updated from previous review on 2025-02-08
Boycott Coffee, tucked inside The Commonwealth in Memphis, is a hidden gem that redefines what it means to enjoy a cup of coffee. This isn’t just a café—it’s a laboratory for coffee enthusiasts. The barista approaches the craft like a scientist, breaking down the intricacies of brewing with precision and passion.
Every sip reflects their commitment to quality and detail. My pour-over was a revelation—rich, complex, and impeccably balanced. Whether you’re a seasoned connoisseur or someone who just appreciates a perfectly crafted caffeine fix, Boycott Coffee delivers a truly elevated experience.
The space is intimate yet inviting, making it the perfect spot to linger with a book or start your day on a high note. Don’t miss this if you’re in Memphis—it’s a coffee experience worth seeking out.

I was in Memphis for the weekend for a wedding. We were walking down the road, actually intending to go to a different coffee shop, but we saw through the window that Boycott had pour overs, so we stopped! I am a Pour-over Princess 🤓👸🏻👑. I have traveled a lot and love coffee, and these Gesha beans resulted in *literally* the best coffee I’ve had in this country. I immediately smiled from ear to ear upon first sip. I had a great chat with the barista. I was hoping to come by on Sunday to buy beans, but sadly Boycott was closed. I regret not buying beans on Saturday, as it truly was love at first sip. I also LllLlOOOooVVVVvvVeeEeEe the mission at Boycott—the food industry in general does not pay those who do most of the labor well and I wish people understood that paying more money for good and healthy food/drink (the stuff that sustains our very existence!) is ok and absolutely necessary. I will forever dream of those Gesha beans. Until next time!

Best coffee I have ever had while visiting the US!
I had it delivered at my hotel for me and my friends and we were all amazed by how good the coffee tastes!
A big thank you for brightening my morning with this delicious coffee and to the gentleman delivering it, who was very punctual and nice!
I highly recommend trying it!

Run by people who are actually passionate about coffee. Yes they have astronomically expensive pour overs sometimes. But the baristas recognize that and you can feel that they are not just charging you for the hip factor but charging you because the craft that went into making that cup of coffee justified that price. Heavenly.
Great spot, beans are outstanding, the proprietors clearly know what they are doing regarding the coffee beans and the preparation of the brew; their GIANT glaring error is that 1) they don’t offer real milk, only disgusting unhealthy fakes like almond and oat, and 2) they don’t tell you this at the outset nor posted anywhere visible.“Oh you have a nut allergy? Sorry, you’re F’d.”??At least put a large sign up to tell customers that you only serve heavily processed man-made artificial milk products.

Latte and pourover are almost exclusively what I order but they are always fantastic with a rotation of beans from different locations. Great place to post up and get some work done unimpeded as well.

One of the best coffee shops in the country. Great quality 3rd/4th wave coffee and a nice and cozy coffee shop to sip it in. They take their time with your drink. They even did a coffee tasting!

The coffee was the best cup of coffee I've ever had. Smooth and sweet, yet complex and magical.Went here on a Saturday when the owner of 'Rigby Roastery' showcases his coffees. He is also there on Tuesdays and I believe Wednesdays where he serves 'Boycott Coffees' products. Rigby has placed 1st in international roasting competitions, which you can tell by his skill in brewing. This is a fully vegan coffee shop that specializes in pour over coffee and the experience that it provides. The experience was top notch and super enjoyable.Rigby makes the pour over coffee for you and allows you to smell the coffee at multiple steps of the brewing process. You can tell he is passionate about coffee as he explains the roasting process and origins of the coffee he is serving. While drinking he goes over flavor notes and tells stories about the coffee.Such a cool experience if you are looking for a specialized and deep look into the coffee world.
