Having never had an open-faced omelette before, I was drawn to order The San Diegan because of a badge suggesting it was a Rachel Ray top-pick. Wow! She was right! The San Diegan melded the flavors of sautéed onions, peppers, mushrooms and tomatoes with gobs of bacon, feta, cheddar and sour cream with a 3-egg flat omelette base. It was delicious! But let’s back out and look at the whole experience. This establishment is located in a humble building on a side street, so be sure to use your GPS to find it. While diagonal parking on the right side of the street was limited, there was plenty of free parking in a lot to the left near Moe’s. Unless you’re bringing young children with you, I’d recommend trying to get a table in the closed-in patio area. Our only complaint really was the volume inside. They know it’s a problem, as evidenced by the sound-absorbing panels on the ceiling and walls. But it is still really loud inside due to the low ceiling and lots of joyful, thoroughly comfortable diners. Service was great, food was fantastic, and menu selection was incredible. I told my husband, “If I lived here, I would want to eat here everyday!” I will say though, get there early! We arrived by about 8am on Saturday morning, and by the time we left a little after 9am, people were waiting in line already. You can bet that we’ll be back on our next trip to Memphis!
I had a simple eggs over eazy with bacon and a biscuit but the best part is the home fries.

I just had a quick breakfast. Eggs, grits and a biscuit. I asked for over medium eggs but got over easy. I like eggs both ways so it wasn't a big deal. Someone next to me add pancakes and they looked really good.

Me and my husband stopped in Brother Junior when we first moved to Texas in 2019. The good was crazy good but under different management at the time. We recently went over the summer and they need to go back to old management. Food taste like an old run down diner. It’s not good at all
