I haven't been to captain jjs in a couple of years. And man, have they went downhill. The only thing i would probably buy from here is their hot wings.They barely season the fries after i told them to season well. It taste bland and plain. They honey hot is nasty. They barely had any sauce and the little sauce they did have on there taste like they just mixed actual honey and hot sauce together. If you want some fye go to jr fish and chicken. Specifically, the one on Riverdale. They always come on point.

I order a ton of food via uber eats and it came piping hot and faster than usual. The uber driver was very quick. However the restaurant sent tilapia instead of whiting and the shrimp was not to my liking. The chicken is the best I’ve had in memphis though. It’s fried ole skool style and it was very good and fresh. The fried okra and fries were good and hot and fresh too. We ordered mushrooms but didn’t get any.

ORDERED CATFISH, HUSHPUPPIES AND FRENCHFRIES WITH A SIDE OF CHEESESTICKS. THERE WAS WHITE POWDER SHAKEN ALL OVER THE CHEESE STICKS, FRIES, HUSH PUPPIES AND THE CAT FISH. SOME SORT OF POWDERY SALT OR RANCH POWDER SEASONING THAT TOTALLY RUINED $50 WORTH OF FOOD. IT WAS SO SALTY ALONG WITH THE HUSH PUPPIES AND CHEESE STICKS SO OVER COOKED THEY WOULD NOT BE CONSUMED DUE TO HURTING MY GUMS AND TEETH. NEVER THE LESS THE SALTY RANCH TASTE. THE FISH WAS ALSO OVER COOKED AND SO SALTY.
