Three tables of dirty dishes when we walked in. We thought about leaving, but had heard food was good. The food was very good. Service just ok. Dirty dishes and floor in serious paint job need a turn off!
The lamb was so delicious. The Turkish coffee was good and served in a lovely mug. The hummus was creamy and fresh.
I love Mediterranean, but the food was not well seasoned like it is at most Mediterranean restaurants. No one in our party of 5 enjoyed their food. The pita fries weren't good at all I was so disappointed. The only thing I enjoyed was the hot tea. It was delicious. The server was very nice, but we had to ask him to change a dirty table cloth and he changed it but let us know it was "just oil" on the table cloth as if it mattered what it was. Also the first table we sat at, the tabletop literally almost flipped over and it was not secure which was how we ended up at the other table.
Taste was good but the service was slow, although we were the only customers in the restaurant.
Very friendly staff, delicious food at a reasonable price. Their tea is excellent. Had to get a gallon to go. Will revisit soon.
Love their Chicken Shawerma with pita bread and sauces. My kids loved their Chicken Shawerma plates and they looked very pleasing to be takeout. Really good Mediterranean food. This place is definitely worth a visit.
The gyro is good, but the sauces are spicy. Portions are generous & leftovers usually end up as lunch the next day. Waiters are inattentive & have to be reminded to refill drinks & check on guests.
Nice quaint restaurant with a Mediterranean flair! The food was outstanding! Reminded me of my travels to Morocco. Great atmosphere! Friendly staff! I would definitely recommend this location!
Chicken shawarma is good.
A Morocco themed middle eastern restaurant in the Germantown area. We visited for lunch. It was not crowded, and there was only one guy managing everything from serving the food, to taking orders, and etc. we started with a starter platter of hummus and falafel with pita. The hummus was decent, so as the falafel. However, the pita breads were very disappointing. They were evidently not the house baked one, neither very fresh, nor fluffy. Moving on to the main entree, the shawarma roll was good. But the chicken shish kabob platter was below average. The only good thing was the yellow rice. The rice was aromatic and tasty. There were a few boiled veggies on top. The chicken skewers were not much tasty- rather boring chunks of chicken breasts, grilled and seasoned with some spices. They were chewy, hard. Overall it’s a pretty ordinary place with overrated food.

Pros:-real vegan options (even desserts!)-really fresh flavors-knowledgeable & flexible staffCons:-too far away ☹️On a road trip and we stopped here for some fare that catered to all eaters. As a vegan, I was excited to read reviews about all the good options. The staff was quite knowledgeable about what was vegan. Collectively, we ate the Falafel sandwich (Middle Eastern Big Mac!), Chicken Shawarma, mushroom gyro (vegan!), Egyptian hawawshi, and beef & lamb shawarma. Of course we got the grape leaves and baklava (both vegan!), which was quite fresh! Sorry, we ate too fast for pre-eating pictures, and I didn't want to make Will feel self-conscious by posting my photo of him licking the baklava plate ? Our server was also really understanding that our party of six needed separate checks for reimbursement purposes. Overall, it was an awesome and authentic experiment. If I'm ever in the area again, I will make sure to stop again!
Pricey but worth it. Good coffee. Laid back. Amazing food. Fresh. ❤️❤️? Kings eat here.
Turned out to be a great lunch spot. I had the falafel sandwich with fries. It was great and the portion was huge. Came with two house sauces, one of which was spicy, and they were really delicious. The rice stuffed grape leaves were an super tasty appetizer.
Terrible. Ordered two gyros and fries. We were waiting to have our date night dinner. Meat looked and tasted old. Hardly any tomatoes and onions. Cucumber sauce was awful and I paid for extra. Last summer was the last time I had a delicious gyro from here. I am done now. $30 down the drain.
So, you have to be careful here - the mild sauce and the pita have egg in them. But the staff are very friendly, and the atmosphere is fabulous. Just ask if something has egg or dairy, and they’ll tell you. If you’re vegetarian, you’re going to have a great time. If you’re vegan, a pretty good time. Everything is delicious. Get the tea! If you’re lucky enough to get Layla, you’re in for service HEAVEN.
