We ordered the four piece chicken tender with fries. When we got it we only got three chicken tenders. We let the staff know that we were supposed to have four tenders. Showed them a pic of the menu to verify our order. Their response was “since they are big chicken tenders you only get three.” that’s false advertising. Very disappointed in the service.

Food was cold. Cheese on hamburger didn't even melt. Fries would have been good if not cold.

Monkeys!! So cool!!
Compared to the rest of the zoo, the cafeteria has a little that could be improved on. Mainly, ok solely, the food. It’s quick to order because there are several kiosks to order from. Food is expensive as it usually is at a zoo. Burger was bleh. I didn’t eat it all. It was gross actually lol! I enjoyed the free refill zoo cup though!

Most don't realize that this is the first building the memphis zoo had and was built in 1910. This is the same era that central gardens was developed and before that area was incorporated into memphis city limits.

Terrible!!! STAFF IS AWFUL. STOOD In front of two workers waiting to order, neither of which said I needed to place my order elsewhere. When I was finally told by another girl working, the gentleman taking our order was rude as well. He acted annoyed and sarcastic when I would ask questions. He would laugh and cut up with the other staffers, but customer service skills were insulting. The price of the food is laughable! Not that I expected amazing. However, I expected something better for what I paid. Pizza was nasty. Hot dog was overboiled that it split at both ends. Cheeseburger had nothing, not even cheese on it. We weren't even told where to get the condiments, and the dressings for the burger weren't even offered. Yes, I wanted to complain, but what good would it have done. It was my mistake for not reading beforehand the Google reviews and how poor they were. The Zoo is awesome, the Cafe was the worst experience, and I'm glad we saved it for last. Definitely will make sure to bring snacks or something next time.

I spent over $12 for a burger, bag of chips, and a drink. The food and value for your money isbetter at most fast food places but I assume proceeds from this place helps fund the zoo. The service was quick and the employees were polite. Someone should definitely get a ladder and clean all the dust off those fans though. ?Also I don't think it's called the Cat House Café anymore I can't remember what it was called now.

the customer service was awful. the staff was rude. you have to order fries with you meal for an extra $5. and they don’t have to go plates. the only good thing about it was the monkey dancing outside the window
I go to the zoo very often though yesterday I got food poisoning from the cheese burgers. My boyfriend has it as well. Glad my child didn't eat their food.
Food was 1.5 stars, but monkeys were cool.
