Truly a BBQ experience! Stopped in to try some authentic Memphis BBQ. We were early, around 4:00, but it wasn't busy. I ordered a 1/2 Rack of Ribs Plate, wet, with a side of Beans and Slaw, with a beer. My wife ordered a Beef Brisket Sandwich. The atmosphere was good and music was playing while we waited for the food. It looked yum when it arrived. The rib meat was fall off the bone and was perfectly sauced with a touch of smoke flavor. Beans and slaw were tasty. The Brisket Sandwich was moist and tender, sauced as well. We treated ourselves to a slice of Coconut Cake to go! Delicious! Thanks to Guy Fieri's "Drive-Ins, Diners and Dives" for showing this place in an episode! Highly recommended when you're in Memphis!

Wheelchair accessibility: Available but not the easiest. Definitely has the Blues atmosphere. Brick floors could be a problem for people.
Went on a Monday night around 700. The place was bustling yet had very little line to speak of and plenty of places to sit. Got the Jerk chicken wings at the recommendation of a friend , half rack ribs with beans and greens on the side. The chicken wings I believe were the best I've eaten. The jerk seasoning was the perfect blend of salt and sweetness. I've never tasted anything else like it. The ribs were better than average, definitely like the wet side better. Sides were good not great. They had an excellent selection of beer and the restaurant was clean and nostalgic.

Everything was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend!! After a bad bbq experience with rendezvous in Memphis, we were a little skeptical, but this bbq did not disappoint! Ribs were excellent. Brisket was melt on your mouth delicious and potato salad was amazing.
My husband and I took a tour while visiting Memphis, and lunch at Central BBQ was included as part of our tour package. The luncheon included pulled pork (4 oz) on a bun, creamy Coleslaw, chips, and a fountain drink. The pulled pork, which was a dry rub, was very good (4.5/5), and further enhanced by your choice of their BBQ sauces. The coleslaw was good (3/5) but nothing exceptional. They had a good variety of fountain drinks. I'm always happy to find Diet Dr. Pepper among restaurant choices! Service was excellent. They fed our tour group of 18 persons quickly, and staff cleared the tables equally efficiently. We were seated in a back room; and the front room with "regular" patrons was equally busy. Our guide mentioned that they often have a long line even to enter the restaurant. This is a large and bustling restaurant with a lot of cool artwork and artifacts. I can't speak to price as our meals were included as part of our tour package.

Ordered the 3 meat plate and didn’t taste any smoke or seasoning in the chicken, brisket nor pulled pork. Daughters ribs were ok but the rest was dry with no flavor.
