My husband and l recently ate lunch at this delightful restaurant! The food was superb, and our server was outstanding! We live about 70 miles from Memphis and always love trying different restaurants. We will be dining here again.

Char is one of our favorites in Memphis. The food is always good and the service impeccable. A new server, Kalyn, is doing a fabulous job as she is friendly and very attentive. We will ask for her again next time we go.

The food is incredible. Recommend the handmade onion rings and comeback sauce. The steak was very tender and well cooked. We had steak leftover (it was a large, thick cut) and ate it the next morning-delicious!

Char used to be one of my favorite places but the last three times my experience has been meh. The front desk crew is always welcoming and friendly but I tend to get this Black man server that is ... not attentive. The first time I thought it was just me, but the next time I went with a friend and she noticed it. He tends to favor larger parties. He wouldn't come unless we called and sent food by others. I definitely won't be back anytime soon.

Lovely atmosphere and outstanding customer service! My salad was good, but the grilled chicken was a little dry. I left the majority of the chicken, but I ate the rest of the salad it was good.

Visited on a Sunday evening for dinner. The hostess was quick to seat us whereas they were not busy. There was a musician playing the piano in the bar area although we sat in the dining room. We ordered crab claws which are known to be really delicious here but they had run out for the day. We also ordered a blueberry lemon drop off their menu and they no longer offers this option. For my entree I got the lamb chops. They were pretty good, preferably would have cooked them about 2 minutes longer. Our waitress was nice. She had very high energy. Overall pretty good experience.
