Waited 2hr to sit after being told 45 mins the host was terrible the food was warm up but still cold. Fish was fresh and that was the only thing. To wait that long and get disappointed was not cool I will not recommend no one and I came all the way from

This was one of our favorite restaurants in Memphis! We went for a quick lunch before the football game and this is probably the reason I didn't get a picture of the amazing food! The wings off the appetizer section were ?, the homemade Teriyaki sauce is delicious! The grilled chicken sandwich with bacon was so juicy and delicious! The fried okra made me sad I don't have anything close to it at home! My son loved his catfish tacos! Our waitress was great, she was so helpful and made some good suggestions for dinner later on. Your Iowa customers can't wait to come back!! Thank you!

Is food great? yes, but service is awful. It took us an hour and 30 minutes to be seated and once we were seated they told us that most of the thing on the menu were no longer available. It was annoying because if they had just told us that in the beginning we could have went somewhere else instead of waiting that long. You can always tell if workers have had a bad day because they are rude to customers. The guy in the front is rude, does not care about any concerns that customers may have. I've opted to never go into the restaurant again and to just order my food through the phone, but no matter what day or time I call they never pick up the phone, no surprise. My best advice is to pray before showing up to the restaurant and hope that the day you go is the day they actually want to work.

Didn't hate it, but didn't love it either. Very very long wait, and my food was $31. I don't believe it was worth that much, especially since my food had little to no seasoning. The catfish was good and the shrimp and grits were not bad but the red beans and rice had no flavor what so ever.

If i could rate this place a zero i would! My fiancé and I drove from Mississippi to try this restaurant and was waiting for an hour to be seated.Upon arrival we were told we would be waiting for 20 minutes, instead we were waiting for an hour. After we were seated the told us they we out of Salmon and Catfish!! 75% of the menu is either Salmon or Catfish. We should have been told this news, immediately as guest. The venue is not the cleanest and the bench was sat on was very hard and cold. Our table was wobbling and completely unsteady. The place was a 0/10. I can not rate the food because unfortunately we didn’t stay. We drive for the catfish and the Salmon. Do better.

This experience was amazing. The jerk wings were the best.The sweet potatoes could have been a little bit sweeter and the pork chops could have been seasoned more. Mac and cheese was ok. I absolutely loved the fish tacos. They were spicy but I love spicy foods. Also everything was cooked fresh.

The tables were wobbly and unstable. The music was so loud it gave me a headache as soon as I walked into the restaurant. They had gospel music playing soooo loud I couldn’t hear myself think. I left after sitting down for just two minutes. Not before I asked for them to turn the music down a little. They didn’t but I’ll take my money elsewhere. Too bad to because I love the food.

There was no wait before being seated. Initially, we were seated in a window with the sun shining directly in my friend's face and requested to move to seating behind the bar but was declined. That seating was designated for 3 or more people. The place wasn't packed, there were several tables available. We were moved to a 2 seater table across front the bar, close to the service window.Once we placed our order, it took 40+ minutes to receive our room temperature appetizers. While waiting for our appetizers, we watched several tables that were seated after use receive their entrées. Though the portions were large, they were barely warm & my fried greens tomatoes tasted like fish. My friend ordered the fried ribs. They were room temperature as well.After waiting x amount of time & watching everyone around us get their food. I finally requested that our entrées be canceled & our ticket be brought to us. Our waitress assured us that our food was up next.... it did come out shortly afterward but only to be a beautiful disappointment.I ordered the Salmon & Dirty rice. My rice had several uncooked pieces & was room temperature topped with a fresh piece of hot fish, topped with a room temperature sauce.My friend ordered the chicken and waffle, his waffles were fresh and flimsy & his chicken was room temperature and hard.Though, when I warmed my leftover, the dish was an easy 5-6.

On my very last day in Memphis, I had to go to the this place because it was on my travel bucket list. I discovered this place on TikTok just like everybody else.My first impression was it wasn't what I expected visually. It's a bare bones place. But guess what? That was perfect for me. No expectations of being uncomfortable. You can be yourself. We were greeted by the host and seated. No problem. She waited for us to take pictures and everything.We immediately ordered food. I listed everything we ordered. There was not one dish that we didn't like. We all had catfish for an entree with different sides. I ordered the Fried Chicken to go. I had to let my daughters see how good this food was at this place.She has a store selling her cookware, seasonings and spices. I ordered the grill pan when I got home from her website. Been sitting here nearly an hour, it took 20 minutes to get a drink and still no sign of even an appetizer. My sons cup has been sitting empty over 15 minutes and no refill in sight.At this point there is no food that could come out of this kitchen that would make me come back.Update:after an hour and 20 minutes the food finally came. The food was good but I will not be back.
