Church's Texas Chicken

The wait time was too long for the chicken. 3 cars were waiting in front of me, and the employees appeared to be teenagers were inside playing around. I was told when ordering that they weren't serving any more mashed potatoes for the day; and it was 6:30 pm.

It's 9pm and they tell me they don't have any more chicken.... don't have any okra just mash potatoes mac and slaw... what the heck yall doing for the next hour til yall get off... just in the building kicking it and straightening up.. crazy as all get out! Wish I was a secret shopper frfr! 0 out of 10!

This shit is ridiculous I have a box full of freeze and cold chicken I’m highly pissed and I made it all the way back home with this bs.

The food did not have the taste that I was used to. I admit that it's been a while since I've had Church's. All good things change in time for better or worse. It'd be the latter for Church's Chicken.

I didn't know church's locked they doors at 8 pm I was looking forward to it that sucks

Had a big pickup order today 1/8/25 30pc party pack with sides, didn’t have mashed potatoes so they gave us biscuits, fine ok. The order was for pickup at 9:15pm we got there around 9:11 they close at 10:00pm and already had the door locked when we got there. We knocked on the front doors for about 2 minutes and all they did was ignore us and laugh between themselves. They knew who we were because we had gone up there earlier around 6:45pm to confirm the order with them and let them know we would be coming a couple hours later. They wouldn’t open the doors for us to pick the order up, fine we went through the drive thru, and I asked the employee why couldn’t you give us the order inside all she did was shrug her shoulders and walked away. I believe the person who gave us the order was the manager of that shift. Anyways will not be coming to this location again. Terrible customer service.

They would let me pay with a 50 or 100 dollar bill even though my total was $51.xx. very chaotic.

Review of Church’s Chicken

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Church’s Chicken, and I feel compelled to share it. I placed an order for pickup, which should have been a straightforward process, but it was anything but. When I arrived, I was treated as if I were attempting to scam the restaurant. Even after providing proof of the order and my ID, I was met with unnecessary suspicion, which made the whole situation uncomfortable and unwelcoming.

The order itself was mostly correct, except for the sauces. Upon realizing that the correct sauces were missing, I returned to the restaurant. I was then told they were out of ranch sauce. When I asked for a substitute, I was informed that I would have to pay for the substitute or go without. This policy felt unreasonable, especially since the issue was their mistake to begin with.

To make matters worse, I wasn’t offered an apology at any point. Instead, I left feeling like I was the one in the wrong, as if I had tried to take advantage of the company. The lack of professionalism and customer service at this location was deeply disappointing.

I won’t be returning anytime soon, and I hope management takes steps to improve how they handle customer concerns. No one should leave a restaurant feeling disrespected or undervalued.

Out of too much. No ice, no sweet tea, none of the items 2 for $4. 49 available. The chicken was cold, and the biscuit was dry.
I will not return to the location on Sycamore View.

This Church's is why the chain is still around. The chicken was fresh, and they were getting orders out. I also like that all the promotions were visible so you knew all your options. I had a horrible experience with the downtown location a week before serving old chicken. I or my husband will be picking up from this one from now on.
