Strange, adversarial approach to service. Customer questions are not appreciated. I got cut off mid sentence every time I asked a question. And then when my coffee was delivered it was the exact opposite of what I wanted. Cut off too when trying to explain. Just awful, passive aggressive service. For a small overpriced coffee.

Of course I recommend City and State for some of the best coffee in Memphis. If you are a coffee, snob or rather an aficionado, this is a great place to get espresso drinks, and single origin coffee. Their flavored lattes never disappoint. If you're looking for unique flavor combinations, definitely come here. There's also a cute little gift shop where I've gotten many birthday cards and trinkets for folks. Check it out next time you're exploring Broad!

Ahhhh....Fall is finally here!What's better than cool temps, video games and good coffee! City and State has outdone themselves again with their fall flavors. The Orchard Latte and the PSL with Butter Pecan are delicious!!!

My boyfriend and I are in town visiting, and we love coffee. We always wants to find "the best" coffee in any city we visit. Obviously we haven't tried every coffee shop in Memphis, but City & State did not dissapoint. The vibes are great and relax. There is the cutest store nextdoor, and most important the coffee is DELISH!! I loved my vanilla latte. It is a classic, but hard to make exceptional. My boyfriend got a cappucino, and liked it as well. I love it here, will be back next time I am in town.

I love myself a delicious latte as a treat and have been on the hunt for an amazing one since moving back to Memphis a few months ago. City & State's lumberjack latte did not disappoint. Rich, creamy (I had mine with oat milk), the nuttiness of all the different flavor notes (pecan, maple, and cinnamon).Additionally, despite being busy, the service was super quick. The space is fun and queer-friendly, with an attached gift shop that had me looking for excuses to buy people things. I sat outside in the shaded patio and enjoyed several hours of work conversation, but I saw many others sitting and working from laptops. Overall, a fun space with delicious latte options. I will be back for more.
