I was really excited about eating here for lunch today, and I picked what I wanted before I went over there. I only have an hour for lunch, and I thought this was going to be perfect. THERE IS NO WHERE TO PARK. You have to PAY to park anywhere close to this establishment. It's RIDICULOUS, and I understand that Memphis has some weird parking, and there are places where you have to pay to park to get places downtown at night, but this was LUNCH...on a MONDAY, so I'm not paying to park for lunch. Did not get to try, because after circling the block 3 times, there was no viable options unless you wanted to pay. The actual restaurant has no parking spaces. 0/10 Will never try again.

The food -- steak and eggs -- were delicious 😋. Oh, I would be remiss if I failed to mention the customer service was excellent.

The server was attentive. The ambiance was quiet and the curtains gave the bench seating an intimate feeling. The appetizers and entrees were good. The desserts were ok.

Nice space and great cocktails! Had the shrimp and grits and my friend had the fish sandwich, it was good. :)

Stepping into Complicated Pilgrim was a delightful experience. The modern atmosphere, stylish decor, and overall vibe immediately set a welcoming tone. It’s clear that great thought went into creating an inviting space.

The service was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we were greeted with warm smiles, the staff’s exceptional customer service stood out, making the experience even more enjoyable.

The menu, though simple and easy to navigate, was surprisingly fitting for a restaurant with such a unique name. It was straightforward without being overwhelming—a pleasant surprise!

Now, onto the food. It felt like being back at grandma’s house for a classic Southern breakfast. The biscuits were buttery and flaky, easily a standout on the plate. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and perfectly cooked. However, the turkey sausage fell short of the meal’s high standard. It was thin, slightly dry, and reminded me of Great Value frozen sausage—a processed option that didn’t do justice to the otherwise exceptional meal. Substituting this with a higher-quality brand would elevate the entire breakfast experience.

The holiday decor was charming and prompted us to snap some personal pictures, adding to the overall warmth and joy of the visit. I look forward to returning to try more menu options and soaking in the ambiance again. This is a great spot for dining solo, with friends, or with family.

Rating: 4.5/5 (Fix the turkey sausage, and it’s perfection!)

Maddie was an attentive server, and the place was decorated quite nicely. Was very impressed with the meal selections. Had breakfast/brunch, passing thru to Okla, of shrimp and grits and all 3 beginners. So delishious! We will be back to sample the dinner menu as well. Thanks to Johnny for the special dessert.

I have been here on multiple occasions, but went again recently for my 21st birthday dinner - LOVED EVERYTHING. Delicious upscale food and cocktails, and great service from the wait staff and hotel staff on getting us up to the rooftop bar (Tiger&Peacock).

My parents and I went for the Thanksgiving dinner and it was fabulous! Our server, Tasia was wonderful, as well as the rest of the staff. Definitely recommend the Kung Pao brussels sprouts, but everything we had was delicious. We will definitely be returning!
